By the Books!
Book read furthest away from home (holiday reads?): I read a few books whilst on holiday in Lanzarote. The most memorable being One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus
Book that took you the longest to read:Â The Last Star by Rick Yancey, the only reason for this is I listened to the Audio Book whilst working but I didn’t have the usual opportunities to listen whilst reading this.
Book that you personally connected with the most: Fierce Fragile Hearts by Sara Barnard. Although this book isn’t out February of this year, this book hit me hard!
Book that made you love the villain: Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. There is something about the villain in this book that I just love.
Book you said you’d come back to but still haven’t picked up again: Looking for Alaska by John Green.
Book you read way before it’s publication date: Fierce Fragile Hearts by Sara Barnard, which isn’t released until February 2019.
Book you read on your birthday: Be Prepared by Vera Brosgol.
Book with a character who shares your name:Â I am yet to find a character with my name. If you see a book with someone called Lois in then let me know!
Book you weren’t entirely truthful about when rating (Fluff up any ratings? Rated even though you didn’t finish?): None, if I love a book you’ll see that, if I don’t like a book you’ll see that too. I like to be honest with my rating whatever that rating may be
Book you read in 2017 but already want to re-read: Fierce Fragile Hearts by Sara Barnard!
Book you borrowed from a friend a long time ago and still have: I don’t really borrow books, if I do they are from my Mum and I always give them back.
Book you wish you could go back and read for the first time again:Â I Was Born for This by Alice Oseman. I would love to read this book again.
Most books read by one author this year: Alice Oseman. It seems that 2018 was the year of Alice Oseman for me.

I love writing this post, it is a lovely wrap-up of the year, even if is a lot of numbers and statistics. I cannot wait to see what 2019 has to offer!

Ye wanted to throw Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi across the room? Did ye review this book? I am about to finish it today and it is making me grumpy. Glad ye had a good reading year though!

I haven’t reviewed the book no, I loved it a lot but couldn’t put all my thought down in a review! What did you think of it?

I thought the plot was horrible. I am still wrapping me noggin around it but the characters and world-building deserved a better plot and less waffling. I am in the minority with this one.
