2019 Blogging Goals

Blogging GoalsI have been meaning to post my 2019 blogging goals for a few days now but I have been quite ill and then it was my boyfriend’s birthday so I haven’t had time to sit down and write this post until now. I like setting myself goals for the month and the year. So, here are my blogging goals for 2019.

LinePost Regularly

This is a simple one, but I want to make sure that this month I post regularly throughout the year. I am hoping to write a blogging plan for each month, with post ideas and some set dates for posts. I am not going to stick to these plans 100% because I feel like it would take the fun out of blogging for me. Although I work a lot better when I have a plan to refer to, so I am going to write my plans, but they won’t be rigid plans! I feel plans and ideas will help me to post regularly.

Interview More Authors

Omike-tinnion-327565-unsplashne of my favourite things I did last year was interview authors. I still can’t believe I even had the opportunity to interview any authors last year, but it is honestly one of my favourite things to do. This year I would love to interview even more authors. Not only that, but I want to get better with the questions I ask authors. I want to spend my time interviewing authors asking questions all about their work and not whether they like day or night more. I cannot wait to see what interview opportunities come my way this year.

Chair a Book Event

janko-ferlic-174927-unsplashThis is an ambitious one, but I am going to put it down as a goal for this year. I feel with the previous goal of interviewing more authors this is the next step. If I get better and more concise with the questions, I ask authors, I would then love to chair a book event. I feel it would be incredibly nerve wrecking to chair a book event, but I would love to do it. I feel this is a goal I will have to work hard to achieve but I will certainly try my best!

Be More Active on Social Media

ben-kolde-464681-unsplashI want this year to be more active on social media. I want to tweet more, and I would love to get a theme and some excellent photos for me Bookstagram account. I tweet quite often currently but I don’t talk about what I’m reading when I am reading it and I feel that would be lovely to share over on my Twitter. Also, I would like to branch into Instagram stories this year when possible. The last social media goal I have for the year is to use my Pinterest page I created for the blog and learn more about that site.

Redesign My Blog

rawpixel-587858-unsplashAt some point this year I want to give Lois Reads Books a makeover. I love the design I have at the minute, but I feel it is due for an update. I am going to plan my designs and themes and hopefully work on them throughout the year in order to redesign the blog at some point in the year. I am loving designing things at the minute and I feel this will continue for the year and I will get better as the year goes on. So, I would like to put my designing skills to the test.

  1. Your goals sound amazing. If you ever get around to doing the book event, let us know how it goes and step by step instructions please, as I would love to see how to organize something like this as well. πŸ™‚
