Now, last month I did incredibly well at not buying a lot of books. This month I didn’t do this! I knew at the start of the month that I was going to be doing a huge book unhaul, which ended up being 150 books! So, I saw that as an excuse to buy a few books this month. I did just that! Plus, I went to the wonderful Foyles Charing Cross at the end of the month and I can’t leave that place empty handed! Some of these books were gifted my publishers, this will be mentioned in brackets next to the book. Here is my April book haul!
Right at the start of the month I decided to treat myself to a brand new graphic novel after a bad few days at work. The graphic novel I bought was Bloom by Kevin Panetta and Savanna Ganucheau! I have been looking to buy this graphic novel for a long time and thought it would be the perfect thing to buy to cheer me up! I cannot wait to read this.
At the start of the month I was gifted with a book I am extremely excited about, Chinglish by Sue Cheung (gifted). I cannot wait to dive right into this book when I go on holiday in June.
The next time I fell into book buying was when I attended the TEENSgate blogger event. There is something about being around other bookish people that makes me want to buy books. After the blogger event a bunch of us migrated to the young adult section of Waterstones and that is where the damage was done. Whilst at the event I bought, Hilda and the Bird Parade by Luke Pearson, Hilda and the Black Hound by Luke Pearson, Hilda and the Stone Forest by Luke Pearson, Record of a Spaceborn Few by Becky Chambers and The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston.
A few days later I was greeted with some amazing book post! My order of Beauty Sleep by Kathryn Evans, which I adored and couldn’t put down (review coming very soon)! I was also gifted by the wonderful Hot Key Books with All The Things We Never Said by Yasmin Rahman (gifted). This is another of one of my most anticipated books of this year and I cannot wait to read it!
Finally, I was lucky enough to be gifted with another couple of books from some wonderful publishers. First was, Let’s Call it a Doomsday by Katie Henry (gifted) and second was We Are Not Okay by Natalia Gomes (gifted)!
It is possible I will have bought some books whilst I have been in London but I may not have time to add them to this post, if that is the case I will definitely be doing a separate haul of the books I bought in London!
Overall, April has been a busy book buying month for me! I am hoping that I can keep my book buying under wraps for the duration of May but I can’t promise anything!
What books have did you buy in April? What books are you excited for in May? Let me know in the comments below.
Oooh this a fab haul! I really fancy buying myself some new books now.

I am always looking for a reason to add more books to my collection, and a 150 book unhaul is definitely a worthy cause! I have never done that before… I definitely need to!! I have Queenie on my TBR.
