August has been another very busy and hectic month for me! I will go into more detail throughout this post! Here is what happened in August!
I have read quite a few books throughout August and I am extremely happy with what books I got read! Here is what I read in August!
- Heartstopper by Alice Oseman (Graphic Novel) 5★‘s
- There’s Something About Sweetie (Novel) 4★‘s
- Gmorning, Gnight: Little Pep Talks for You & Me by Lin-Manual Miranda and Jonny Sun (Novel) 5★‘s
- Trinkets by Kirsten Smith (Novel) 3★‘s
- Night Owls by Jenn Bennett (Novel) 4★‘s
I’ve had another good blogging month and posted as much as I wanted to throughout the month! I even had ideas pop into my head for September and October. I am getting better at scheduling posts ahead of time to make things a little easier for me too! I am fully in a blogging stride at the minute! Here are my top 5 posts for August.
- July Book Haul
- YALC 2019 Book Haul!
- YALC 2019 Recap
- 3 Year Blog Anniversary and Giveaway!
- The A-Z Book Tag
I’m still extremely happy with how many books I have read this year and the progress I have made with my reading goal. I am thinking about upping my reading goal once again, this time to 70 books in a year. I feel very positive that I can reach this goal! I am actually at around 50 books whilst writing this post. I am still putting aside £5 for every book I read this year and saving it all up so I have a lot put aside already.
This month has been extremely busy for me. I started out the month by attending Sarah and Sophie’e LGBTQ+ book club. In July we read Heartstopper Volume One, so we discussed our thought on this.
This month I also went out on a few meal. One was for my Nana’s 80th birthday and another was to celebrate my sister’s college results! Both of the meals were lovely and it was so nice to go our and celebrate such big occasions.
In the middle of the month I spent a wonderful weekend with two of my best friends. Sarah, Sophie and I went to watch The Book of Mormon in Manchester together (which is hilarious!), we ate pizza and had a lovely time. The day after the theatre, me and Sarah spent a full day relaxing, reading books and watching teen movies and it was just the best day!
This month ended with me going on holiday to Sicily with my boyfriend and his parents. When this post goes live, I will still be there! I am going to be doing a couple of wrap-up posts about what I did and what I read when I am back!
That’s it August is over. I cannot wait to see what September holds. What has your August been like and what have you read? Let me know in the comments below!
What a great month you’ve had! Hopefully September will be amazing as well!
