July Book Haul

Book HaulThis month (aside from YALC) has been quieter book buying month for me! I actually started using the library I work in as a book source rather than buying everything that I want to read. This is saving me a lot of money but also means my hauls are slightly smaller than usual! I hardly went in a bookshop this month but that doesn’t mean this haul is going to be extremely small small! A couple of these books were gifted by publishers, this will be mentioned in brackets next to the book. Make sure you keep an eye out in the next couple of days for a dedicated YALC book haul! Here is my July book haul!Line

Right at the beginning of the month I was gifted a couple of books that I am very excited to read by wonderful publishers! These are Slay by Brittney Morris (gifted) and The Liars by Jennifer Mathieu (gifted). I am going to be taking these books with me to Sicily this month and I cannot wait to dive into them!

I did take a little trip to a book shop whilst on a day out with my boyfriend early on in July. Whilst there I bought Heartstream by Tom Pollock and How to Be Luminous by Harriet Reuter Hapgood. I have already read Heartsteam and I throughly enjoyed it and really recommend it!

Towards the end of the month I spotted a book I have been searching for for a long time in my local supermarket. This is Stranger Things: Worlds Turned Upside Down. This is a little behind the scenes book all about the series, the process writting and filming the show. I love books like this and cannot wait to look through this book, especially after finishing watching series 3 very recently!

Finally, the last book I bought this month was another of my highly anticipated reads. The Starlight Watchmaker by Lauren James. If you know me, you will know how much I love Lauren James books so of course I jumped on buying this book as soon as I could. I cannot wait to read this when I have the chance because I want to storm through it in one go!

LineOverall, July has been a quiet book buying month for me! I am hoping that I can keep my book buying under wraps again for the duration of August especially after buying so many at YALC!

What books have did you buy in July? What books are you excited for in August? Let me know in the comments below.

Happy Reading

  1. It’s not like us book lovers ever run out of books to read, even if our book buying was small for the month!

I ended up getting quite a few books last month. I got several ebooks for $1.99, a few that were free, a few books from Bookish First for free, a few free ARCs from Netgalley, and a few discount used books… so I guess it wasn’t a sparse month for me.

I hope you enjoy the Stranger Things book! We started watching the first season over the Fourth of July weekend.
