Hello all! Last weekend I spent some wonderful time with my friends in Wales, or more specifically in Cardiff/Newport. I had such an excellent and relaxed time and it was so well needed. Here is a little post all about the weekend! On Friday night Sarah and Sophie from The Little Contemporary Corner and myself took a road trip down to Newport to stay with Charlotte of Wonderfully Bookish. We don’t all get to see each other often and like to make an effort to spend time together when we can. Thanks to our book blogs and our love of books, I’ve found such an amazing group of friends that I love a lot.
Our plan for the weekend was to explore Cardiff Bay and a little bit of Cardiff, eat snacks and read books together. We didn’t arrive till late on Friday night so didn’t get to do much then other than say hi, have a tour of Charlotte’s house and then sleep.
On Saturday we were up early and getting ready for a touristy day in Cardiff Bay and Cardiff. The weather wasn’t the best but we still made the most of the day. We wandered round Cardiff Bay and saw the Norwegian Church that Roald Dahl was baptised at. We ate some lovely food in a little cafe looking out over the bay before taking a train into Cardiff. Whilst in Cardiff we wandered round book shops, got lost in Primark and sat in a delightful Vegan Cafe and had a read. Saturday night was spent relaxing, playing Jack Box games and eating pizza and it was wonderful!
On Sunday we decided to have a chill day where we read books, watched Buzzfeed Unsolved and ate snacks. It was so lovely to spend time with such amazing friends and relaxing after such a busy month. On Sunday afternoon, Sarah, Sophie and I got back into the car for the drive back home.
We had such an incredible weekend in Wales and I cannot wait to spend more time with this lovely people soon! Thank you so much to Sarah, Sophie, Charlotte, Emily and Joely for a wonderful weekend. Special thank you to Charlotte and Emily for letting us stay with them!
I can’t wait to see you all again already!!
