Hello everyone, hope you are doing well and keeping safe! Would I really be me if I didn’t have another post full of new book released! I love being able to find out about new books that are going to be released within the next month and it always gets me excited about new books to read. There are so many incredible books coming out in the June and I cannot wait to read them all! Here are the June 2020 releases I am excited about! The Falling in Love Montage by Ciara Smyth
“Saoirse doesn’t believe in love at first sight or happy endings. If they were real, her mother would still be able to remember her name and not in a care home with early onset dementia. A condition that Saoirse may one day turn out to have inherited. So she’s not looking for a relationship. She doesn’t see the point in igniting any romantic sparks if she’s bound to burn out.
But after a chance encounter at an end-of-term house party, Saoirse is about to break her own rules. For a girl with one blue freckle, an irresistible sense of mischief, and a passion for rom-coms.
Unbothered by Saoirse’s no-relationships rulebook, Ruby proposes a loophole: They don’t need true love to have one summer of fun, complete with every cliché, rom-com montage-worthy date they can dream up—and a binding agreement to end their romance come fall. It would be the perfect plan, if they weren’t forgetting one thing about the Falling in Love Montage: when it’s over, the characters actually fall in love… for real.”
I’ve been seeing this book on Twitter and other people’s blogs for quite long while now and I am so excited for it to finally be released. I am actually going to order it this weekend when I do a big pre-order and I can’t wait to read it. I feel like this book will be perfect for the summer so that is exactly when I’ll be reading it!
Again Again by E. Lockhart
“If you could live your life again, what would you do differently?
After a near-fatal family catastrophe and an unexpected romantic upheaval, Adelaide Buchwald finds herself catapulted into a summer of wild possibility, during which she will fall in and out of love a thousand times—while finally confronting the secrets she keeps, her ideas about love, and the weird grandiosity of the human mind.”
How did I not know there was a new E. Lockhart book on the way until yesterday! I have loved the E. Lockhart books that I’ve read in the past and really want to give this one a go. This also sounds like the perfect summer read and I’ll definitely be buying a copy to read then!
Chasing Lucky by Jenn Bennett
“Budding photographer Josie Saint-Martin has spent half her life with her single mother, moving from city to city. When they return to her historical New England hometown years later to run the family bookstore, Josie knows it’s not forever. Her dreams are on the opposite coast, and she has a plan to get there.
What she doesn’t plan for is a run-in with the town bad boy, Lucky Karras. Outsider, rebel…and her former childhood best friend. Lucky makes it clear he wants nothing to do with the newly returned Josie. But everything changes after a disastrous pool party, and a poorly executed act of revenge lands Josie in some big-time trouble—with Lucky unexpectedly taking the blame.
Determined to understand why Lucky was so quick to cover for her, Josie discovers that both of them have changed, and that the good boy she once knew now has a dark sense of humour and a smile that makes her heart race. And maybe, just maybe, he’s not quite the brooding bad boy everyone thinks he is…”
I absolutely adore Jenn Bennett’s books and they always make me feel summery. The fact a new one is coming out in time for the summer is perfect and I cannot wait to read it! This one sounds particularly up my streets, so I can’t wait to give it a go.
