May Book Haul!

Book HaulHello all, I am back again with yet another book haul. This month’s haul is quite a bit bigger than last months haul. I had a number of books on pre-order this month and also decided to treat myself to a couple. I will highlight in brackets next to any books if they were gifted. So, here is my May book haul.Line

Throughout May the books that I wanted to read came from a few different genres and I have no idea why. There was dystopian, romance, general fiction and contemporary. I am really missing visiting bookshops though and you bet when this is all over (and I feel safe to do so) I will be going to a bookstore and buying a lot of books.

As I’ve not been able to go into bookshops I’ve been buying myself more books from my wishlist which has been a lot of fun! From my wishlist I bought Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano which I absolutely adored and made me cry a lot. I also bought Tweet Cute by Emma Lord which I loved and was adorable and just what I needed. Finally, from my wishlist I bought Verona Comics by Jennifer Dugan as I’ve heard a lot of things about this one and I’m hoping to read it very soon.

This month was the month of pre-orders. I have been waiting for it for so long but I finally have a copy of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins and I devoured it in a few days. I have a lot of thoughts about this one which I will be sharing soon. My other pre-order was Wonderland by Juno Dawson which I read at the start of the month thanks to an eARC via Netgalley. I adored this one and I’m so glad I finally own a physical copy. You can find my review of Wonderland here!

Towards the end of the month I received some very exciting book post! It was Again Again by E. Lockhart (gifted)! I finished this within hours of receiving it and loved it. I have a blog post going up all about this book in a few days!

Overall, I ended the month with 6 more physical books than I started which is a lot less than I expected and I am actually quite proud. There is only one of the 6 I bought this month left for me to read and I’m going to read this in June for sure. I’m really proud of myself for buying books and actually reading them for once.

LineWhat books did you buy in May and what books are you excited for in June? Let me know in the comments!Happy Reading
