What’s on my Netgalley TBR?

It has definitely become a monthly thing where I share what is on my Netgalley TBR at the moment and I love it. A couple of books have been added to my TBR this past month and some have been on there for way too. There have been so many incredible books on my Netgalley shelf over the years and it is a place I’ve found so many new authors. Here is what is currently on my Netgalley shelf / TBR!

If This Gets Out by Sophie Gonzales and Cale Dietrich

Eighteen-year-olds Ruben Montez and Zach Knight are two members of the boy-band Saturday, one of the biggest acts in America. Along with their bandmates, Angel Phan and Jon Braxton, the four are teen heartbreakers in front of the cameras and best friends backstage. But privately, cracks are starting to form: their once-easy rapport is straining under the pressures of fame, and Ruben confides in Zach that he’s feeling smothered by management’s pressure to stay in the closet.

On a whirlwind tour through Europe, with both an unrelenting schedule and minimal supervision, Ruben and Zach come to rely on each other more and more, and their already close friendship evolves into a romance. But when they decide they’re ready to tell their fans and live freely, Zach and Ruben start to truly realize that they will never have the support of their management. How can they hold tight to each other when the whole world seems to want to come between them?

I saw this one put up as a read now book on Netgalley. So, I read the synopsis and immediately knew that this book was right up my street. A boyband story has me sold straight away but add a romance to that storyline and one between band members and I am even more sold! I cannot wait to read this book very soon!

You’ve Reached Sam by Dustin Thao

How do you move forward when everything you love in on the line?

Seventeen-year-old Julie has her future all planned out—move out of her small town with her boyfriend Sam, attend college in the city, spend a summer in Japan. But then Sam dies. And everything changes. Desperate to hear his voice one more time, Julie calls Sam’s cellphone just to listen to his voicemail. And Sam picks up the phone.

What would you do if you had a second chance at goodbye?

I’ve mentioned this one on my Netgalley posts before but it has been on my Netgalley shelf for such a long time that I’m putting it on again in the hopes it gets me to read it soon. I am still seeing incredible things about this book so I want to finally read it and share my thoughts. I think I need to read this book when I’m in the right head space though because I think if I am not I’ll sob.

The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould

Something is wrong in Snakebite, Oregon. Teenagers are disappearing, some turning up dead, the weather isn’t normal, and all fingers point to TV’s most popular ghost hunters who have just come to town.

Logan Ortiz-Woodley, daughter of TV’s ParaSpectors, has never been to Snakebite before. But the moment she and her dads arrive, she starts to get the feeling that there’s more than ghosts plaguing this small town. Ashley Barton’s boyfriend was the first teen to go missing, and she’s felt his ghost following her ever since. Although everyone shuns the Ortiz-Woodleys, the mysterious Logan may be the only person who can help Ashley get some answers.

When Ashley and Logan team up to figure out who—or what—is haunting Snakebite, their investigation reveals truths about the town, their families, and themselves that neither of them are ready for. As the danger intensifies, they realize that their growing feelings for each other could be a light in the darkness.

This is another that has been on my Netgalley for quite a while. I’m again putting it this post to make myself read it. I love a good mystery book and this is just that and it also has a slow-burn romance throughout which I am fan of. I am hoping to read this one very soon!

Aristotle and Dante Dive Into the Waters of the World by Benjamin Alire Sáenz

SPOILER ALERT! THIS IS THE SEQUEL SO DO NOT READ THIS SYNOPSIS TO AVOID SPOILERS!

In Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, two boys fell in love. Now they must discover what it means to stay in love and build a relationship in a world that seems to challenge their very existence.

Ari has spent all of high school hiding who he really is, staying silent and invisible. He expected his senior year to be the same. But something in him cracked open when he fell in love with Dante, and he can’t go back. Suddenly he finds himself reaching out to new friends, standing up to bullies and making his voice heard. And, always, there is Dante – dreamy, witty Dante – who can get on Ari’s nerves and fill him with desire all at once.

The boys are determined to forge a path for themselves in a world that doesn’t understand them. But when Ari is faced with a shocking loss, he’ll have to fight like never before to create a life that is truthfully, joyfully his own.

I have never clicked on a book as quick as I clicked on this one. I am lucky enough to be auto-approved by the publisher of this book so as soon as I could add this book shelf I did! I am so excited to give this a read and be back with Ari and Dante again. I am looking to read this one very soon but I want to re-read the first book again beforehand.
