Yesterday was my 24th birthday! I’ve had a lovely relaxing weekend with my partner and it has been wonderful. I did this book tag a couple of years ago and thought it would be fun to do it again and see if my answers have changed. Here is the birthday book tag!

Birthday Cake – A book with a plot that seems cliché but you adore it anyway
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. This was my answer last time and is still my answer to this day. I love this book so much and it truly is my comfort book and comfort series. It is incredibly cliché and predictable but I love this book with all my heart!
Party Guests – Your most anticipated book release this year
Here’s to Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera – I am so excited to read the sequel to What If It’s Us. This first book made me so happy and I adored reading a book written by two of my favourite authors. So, you bet I have this one on pre-order and cannot wait to read it.
Birthday Presents – A book that surprised you with how much you loved it
A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer – I knew I loved Brigid’s writing when it came to contemporary novels but I had never read her fantasy books. I do not like many fantasy books either. So, going into this book I did not know what to think. 3 books in the series later and I adore, the first in particular, a lot!
The Happy Birthday Song – A book that certainly deserved all the hype it got
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid – This book deserves all the hype it got and more. I adore this book and nothing has hit me as hard as this book did since reading it. It is such an extraordinary book that I could read over and over again and still adore. Believe the hype and read this book!
Happy Music – A book with some very beautiful and truly memorable quotes
Afterlove by Tanya Byrne – This book is full of beautiful quotes and has one passage in particular that I have read over and over again. If you are looking for a beautiful, moving and heart-warming book I would highly recommend this one.
Getting Older – A book that you read a long time ago, but you think that you would appreciate it more if you read now
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck – I did enjoy this book when I read it back in high school but I don’t think I appreciated it all that much. If I read it again now I feel I would appreciate it a whole lot more.
Sweet Birthday Memories – A book that kept you incredibly happy during a sad or demanding period of your life
I Was Born for This by Alice Oseman – This is one that I was reading when someone very close to me died. It really helped me come to terms with that person’s death and helped my through an incredibly tough period of my life.

There you have it, the Birthday Book Tag! I’ve had a lovely birthday and I’m looking forward to more relaxing!

Happy belated Birthday! I hope you had an amazing day ❤️
