It is Halloween! I love the Halloween season and all that comes with it. I couldn’t let Halloween go by without doing the Halloween book tag. This tag is from Blogger Books and was a lot of fun to do. Here is the Halloween Book Tag!

Favourite scary must-read for Halloween?

I would have to say Hold Back the Tide by Melinda Salisbury. This book scared me so much. I was reading it outside one day and jumped so much I fell out of my chair which was a shock. It is a scary book that plays out in your mind like a scary movie. I cannot recommend it enough!
Scariest book cover?

This specific cover of American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis scares me beyond belief. I don’t know what it is about it but I hate it a lot. I own a copy of a very much tamed down cover which I am more than happy to read but I don’t think I could carry this one around with me.
If you could go trick-or-treating with any author, who would you go with?
I would have to say either Lauren James or Alice Oseman. Both authors always have amazing costumes at Halloween and I think they would be so much fun to get trick-or-treating with.
If you could dress up as any bookish character for Halloween, who would you be?

I think I’d go simple for this one. I know this version of her is from a TV series but she is in the books that inspired the show too. I’d love to dress up as Love Quinn from the You series by Caroline Kepnes. As it would be a simple costume but it is from a book series that I thoroughly enjoy.
If you could find anything (from any book) in your trick-or-treat stash, what would you hope it would be?
This could quite possibly be the most boring answer in the world but I would love to have some Lembas bread in my trick-or-treat stash, the bread from Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. It is something I have always wanted to try and I would be so excited to see that in my stash even if it isn’t a sweet treat.
In what fictional world would you like to go trick-or-treating?
It isn’t a book world but I would love to go trick-or-treating in the Stranger Things world. I fell like it would be so much fun and it would be an entertaining night as something spooky is bound to happen.
What book villain would you not like to meet in a dark alley on Halloween?
I’m going to go for someone from the Comic Book world for this one. It would have to be Venom. I may love his character but he would be terrifying to meet in a dark alley and I would for sure run away immediately.
What would you rather dress up as: a vampire, zombie, werewolf or Shadowhunter?
I would have to say zombie because it is the only one of these that I am intrigued by.
What is your favourite Halloween candy?
Literally any sour sweets! I am a sucker for any sweets that are sour and I am sure to give them a try and love them.
