Happy November everyone! It is the start of a brand new month, which means it is book haul time. This haul consists of 14 books. It has some books gifted by publishers, pre-orders, gifts and a couple I’ve picked up for myself. Here is my October book haul!

Whilst away for my birthday weekend, I thought I would treat myself to a few books. First, I picked up a copy of A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers. I’ve been waiting to see this in a bookshop for a while so I was excited to finally pick up a copy. Also, I picked up We Are All Constellations by Amy Beashel on release day! I cannot wait to read this one. I picked up a copy of The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston too. I listened to it on audiobook and loved it so much I had to pick up a physical copy.
I had a few pre-orders arrive this month. The first to arrive was Defend the Dawn by Brigid Kemmerer. I’ve still not read the first in this series but I took the chance and ordered the second one ahead of time. My exclusive copy of The First to Die by Adam Silvera arrived and I immediately displayed it on my shelf. I loved this book so it felt right to display the stunning sprayed edges. The last pre-order to arrive was The Heartstopper Yearbook by Alice Oseman which is such a stunning book!
My lovely best friend bought my a book for my birthday that has been on my wishlist for quite a while now. It was a copy of Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky which I cannot wait to finally read!
On another shopping trip this month, I used a book voucher I got for my birthday to buy a couple more books. I picked up Space Band by Tom Fletcher. I’m looking forward to reading this as his other children’s books have been excellent. Then, I picked up Sixteen Souls by Rosie Talbot after seeing so much about it online. I enjoyed it and think it is perfect for halloween!
I’ve been incredibly lucky this month to be gifted a couple of books by lovely publishers. Macmillan gifted me a copy of The Sunbearer Trails by Aiden Thomas which I cannot wait to read! I’ve heard amazing things about it so can’t wait to see what I think. Chicken House kindly gifted me a copy of The Other Ones by Fran Hart which I loved! It is perfect for the Halloween season.
Whilst at the BookTok Mini-Fest I picked up a few books which were kindly gifted by publishers. From the Del Rey stand I picked up a copy of In Case of Emergency by Poona Bell which has been on my wishlist for a while now. Then I picked up Mina and the Slayers by Amy McCaw which was kindly sent to the festival by the publishers UCLan Publishing. Finally, I picked up When You Call My Name by Tucker Shaw from the Penguin stall which is another that has been on my wishlist for a while.
So, I ended the month with 14 more books than I began it with. Thank you so much to the publishers who gifted me some of the books included in this haul!
