Books Recently Added to my Wish List

Like a lot of book lovers I have my own wish list. I love using my wish list to keep an eye on books I want to purchase soon and to add books to it that catch my whilst in book shops. Quite often I will buy myself a book off this list as a little treat to myself and it brings me a lot of joy.

I’ve recently added quite a lot of books to my wish list. So, I wanted to share with you some of those books. Here they are!

Mackenzie hasn’t had a successful date in months. She’s only a year out of residency, and her grandmother’s obsession with finding the perfect mate threatens to drive her barking mad, so it should be a small thing when she lies about meeting someone . . . until she blurts out the name of the last man she would ever date: Noah ‘The Big Bad Wolf of Denver General’ Taylor.

Noah, interventional cardiologist and all-round grump, has spent his entire life hiding what he is – an unmated alpha. But when an anonymous tip brings everything to light, he’s left with two choices: come clean to the board and risk his career or find himself a mate. So, when the chatty, overly friendly ER doctor asks him to be her fake boyfriend the same day he’s called to meet the board, it must be kismet, right?

Mackenzie gets her grandmother off her back, and Noah gets the chance to prove he can continue to work without a real mate – it’s a mutually beneficial business transaction. But when the fake-mate act turns to a very real friends-with-benefits arrangement, lines start to blur, and they quickly realise love is a whole different kind of animal.

After finishing reading The Nanny by Lana Ferguson, I immedaitely went to my wish list and added her next book to it. This one sounds right up my street! It has fake dating and a paranormal twist. I’m hoping to get this one by the end of this year and reading it as soon as possible.

The night after her father’s funeral, Claire meets Lucas in a bar. Lucas doesn’t know it, but it’s not a chance meeting. One thoughtless mistyped email has put him in the crosshairs of an extremely put-out serial killer. But even before they make eye contact, before Claire lets him buy her a drink, before she takes him home and carves him up into little pieces, something about that night is very wrong. Because someone is watching Claire. Someone who is about to discover her murderous little hobby.

The thing is, it’s not sensible to tangle with a part-time serial killer, even one who is distracted by attending a weekly bereavement support group and trying to get her art career off the ground. Claire will do anything to keep her secret hidden – not to mention the bodies buried in her garden. Let the games begin…

I recently saw this one in an airport bookshop and had I room in my luggage I would have bought it. But, because I didn’t it was added to my wish list. This one sounds incredible and I definitely want to be able to read this one soon. It is only out in hardback at the moment though so I may wait until it is out in paperback.

When disaster strikes and chef Bryce Weatherford is given guardianship of her three young nieces, her life goes from cooking with fire…to controlling a dumpster fire. Five-year-old Addison refuses to remove her fairy wings, eight-year-old Cecily won’t bathe, and tween June is majoring in belligerence. With all this chaos, Bryce jettisons hope for a life outside of managing her family and her new job.

It’s been years since Ryker Matthews had his below-the-knee amputation, yet the phantom pain for his lost limb and Marine career haunts him. To cope, he focuses on his vehicle restoration business. He knows he’s lucky to be alive. Yet, “lucky” feels more like “cursed” to his lonely heart.

When Ryker literally sweeps Bryce off her feet in the grocery store’s baby aisle, they both feel sparks. But falling in love would be one more curveball neither is ready to deal with… or is it exactly the change of plans they need?

I picked this one up in a bookshop in Amsterdam and just had to add it to my wish list. This sounds like an adorable romance novel that I’m sure I would fly through. I think this is one I’ll get myself after a particularly bad day.

When Izzy Astor gets on a plane to go home, she isn’t expecting much. It’s the usual holiday travel experience: busy, crowded, stressful.

Then she spots her seatmate, who is anything but ordinary. Nate Phelan sports dark hair, blue eyes, and a deliciously rugged charm that Izzy can’t resist. Their connection is undeniable. Izzy never believed in destiny before, but she does now.

Just ninety seconds after takeoff, their plane goes down in the Missouri River.

Their lives change. They change. Nate goes on to a career in the military while Izzy finds her way into politics. Despite a few chance encounters over the years, the timing never feels right.

Then comes a high-stakes reunion in Afghanistan, where Nate is tasked with protecting Izzy’s life.

He’ll do anything to keep her safe. And everything to win her heart.

After seeing so much about Rebecca Yarro’s books in recent months, this is just one of the few of her books I’ve added to my wish list. This one has been getting some goof reviews online too which has me even more intrigued by it. I think it would be a good way to see what I think of her writing.

There you have it some of the books that I’ve added to my wish list recently. If you want to look at other books I’ve added to my wish list, you can find it here. What books have you added to your wish list recently? Let me know in the comments!
