December is almost over and there are only a few days of 2023 left. This year has gone by way too quickly. The last month of the year has been busy with shopping, Christmas, birthdays and days out. Here is what happened in December!

I’ve read a total of 11 books throughout December, so far, and I’ve enjoyed every one of them. Some more than others but still! I’m hoping to get a few more books read before the end of 2023 to reach my goal of reading 120 books this year.
I wrote a post a couple of days ago which is full of mini reviews for the books I read in December. So, be sure to give that a read. Here is the shortened version of what I read in December!

December has been another month packed full of blogging. I’ve kept to my blogging schedule all year and I’m so proud of myself for that. Blogging is still so much fun for me. I wanted to share the top 5 posts I’ve enjoyed writing in December.
- Upcoming 2024 Book Releases
- November Book Haul!
- Books I Want to Read This Christmas!
- What’s On My Netgalley TBR?
- Books to Read this Christmas Season!

December started with Christmas shopping and a trip to the Christmas markets which was lovely. We got a lot of shopping done and had my favourite snack of all time, mini pancakes. They were delicious and I’m sure I’ll think about them a lot until I have more next December.
We put up our Christmas tree a couple of days later. I love our tree so much. We added a couple of ornaments this year including a special little Ghost and the most random of all, a baguette.
I had a Christmas day with my friends this month too. We watched films, exchanged presents and had a carvery tea. It was a wonderful day! Following that day I feel like a lot of my time until Christmas was spent buying and wrapping presents and getting food in for Christmas.
December is a month of birthdays in my family. My Dad’s is midway through the month and my Mum’s is two days after Christmas. So, we celebrated both their birthdays with a couple of nights of lovely food, board games and enjoying time together. It was lovely.
Me and David has a nice chilled out Christmas day at home. We watched a couple of films, played board games, had some delicious food and just generally enjoyed each others company. Over the next few days we visited the rest of our families and spent some lovely time with them. It has been lovely and well needed.
We are finishing December and 2023 in the way we have done for years, a night at my parents with board games, food and music. I’m sure it will be lovely.
December has been an excellent month and I’m looking forward to seeing what January and the New Year brings!

That is it, December is almost over. I cannot wait to see what January and the New Year holds. What has December been like for you and what have you read? Let me know in the comments below!
