March Book Haul!

Happy April everyone! When I was pulling all the books together that I added to my collection throughout March I was shocked at how many there were. I thought I’d been better this month but clearly not. I hauled 21 books in March. It has some presents for myself, pre-orders and a book kindly gifted by the publisher. Here is my March book haul!

Towards the beginning of March I took myself book shopping after a stressful few days. Of course, I ended up picking up a few books. I got Butter by Asako Yuzuki because it sounds incredible. Also, The Summer We Crossed Europe in the Rain by Kazuo Ishiguro because it looks stunning. Lastly, The Fake Mate by Lana Ferguson and Night Shift by Annie Crown which both sounds excellent.

I had quite a few pre-orders arrive in March. The first was The Good, the Bad and the Aunties by Jesse Sutanto which I’m currently reading and enjoying. The next were Happily Ever After by Lynn Painter and Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez both of which I’m saving to read on my summer holiday! The last pre-orders to arrive were Nuclear Family by Kate Davies and Hate Mail by Donna Marchetti both of which I’m hoping to read very soon.

When me and David took a trip to the Lake District towards the end of March and whilst there I picked up a few books. One was A Botanical Daughter by Noah Medlock which I started reading immediately and I’m loving it so far. I saw Games and Rituals by Katherine Henry in one of the indie book shops and immediately had to purchase it. Lastly, I picked up Cult Trip by Anke Richter, Luck of the Draw by Kate Clayborn and What Happened to the Bennetts by Lisa Scottoline as they’d all been on my TBR for a while.

I was incredibly lucky to be gifted one of my most anticipated releases of the year in March. Macmillan gifted me a copy of Children of Anguish and Anarchy by Tomi Adeyemi which I cannot wait to read and is out in June!

Right at the end of the month me and my best friend spent an afternoon and evening together in Manchester. I ended up coming back home with a lot of books. I grabbed Seven Summers by Paige Toon which I think will be perfect for my holiday. Also, Your Driver is Waiting by Priya Guns and I Went to See my Father by Shin Kyung-sook which have been on my TBR for a while now. Finally, whilst at the book launch I grabbed a copy of Soulmates and Other Ways to Die by  Melissa Welliver which I got signed and cannot wait to read.

The last books I picked up in March were from one of my local supermarkets which have an amazing selection of books at the minute. They were How to Kill a Guy in Ten Ways by Eve Kellman and Strange Sally Diamond by Liz Nugent both of which I cannot wait to read.

So, I ended the month with 21 more books than I began it with. Thank you so much to the publisher who gifted me a book included in this haul!

What books did you get in March and what books are you excited about in April? Let me know in the comments!
