June has completely flown by and has been a wonderful month. I've been on holiday to my favourite place, read a lot of books, had a little staycation and relaxed. Here is what happened in June!
Month: June 2024
What I Read in June!
June seems to have completely flown by but I've read a lot. I think in part that is because I've been on holiday but I've also made sure I've had time to read this month. I've read 12 books throughout June which is a lot more than I've read in previous months. In this post, you will find a bunch of mini-reviews for the books I read in June. Here they are!
Bite Me, Royce Taslim – Lauren Ho
After reading Lauren Ho’s adult novels I knew I wanted to give her YA debut a try and I’m so glad that I did. Bite Me, Royce Taslim is a heartfelt, funny and tender enemies to lovers YA novel which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Currently I’m…
I have a lot of envy for people who can stick to reading one book at a time, watching one series at once and listening to one album at one. I'm someone who always has multiple of each on-the-go. I’m always intrigued by what other people are reading, watching and listening to. I think that it is a very good way to learn more about other people and to get recommendations at the same time. So, I started doing the ‘Currently I’m…‘ posts to share my current reads, watches and what I’m listening to with other people who are just as curious as I am. Here is what I am currently reading, watching and listening to.
Mid-Year Book Freak Out – 2024
We are almost half-way through 2024 which I cannot quite believe. So, I wanted to give the mid-year book freak out tag a go. I've been doing this tag for a few years now and I always love looking back on the previous years answers. So, here is the mid-year book freak out for 2024.
What’s On My Netgalley TBR?
I've been restrained over the past month and haven't requested any books on Netgalley. I think being on holiday has stopped me from browsing the website regularly which isn't a bad thing. There are still a number of books on my Netgalley TBR but despite that I’ve still managed to keep my feedback ratio over 90% which I’m happy about. I started writing these posts to show what was on my Netgalley TBR and to hold myself accountable when it comes to reading them. So, here are some of the books on my Netgalley TBR / shelf at the moment!
You Are Here by David Nicholls – Quote
I finished reading You Are Here by David Nicholls towards the end of last month and it was a stunning read. It was the perfect book to read during Spring and it was packed full of lovely quotes. So, I wanted to do what I normally do with a book that I enjoy, which is pick a quote from it and get designing. Here is a little image I designed for a quote from You Are Here by David Nicholls.

July is nearly here and we are nearly halfway through the year. There are so many new books coming out next month. So, I wanted to share the ones I'm most excited about in this post. Here are the new book releases I'm excited for in July!
Recent Reads I’d Recommend
We are nearly halfway through the year and I’ve read quite a lot of books. Some have been good, some have been alright and others have been incredible. So, I thought it would be fun to share some of the the books I’ve read so far in 2024 and would recommend. Here are some recent reads I’d recommend.
You Are Here – David Nicholls
After reading One Day earlier on this year and loving it, I knew I had to give his latest release a read and I’m so glad that I did. It is a beautiful story of friendship, starting again and saying goodbye to the past. It was a joy to read.
