Summer is here (even if the weather in the UK doesn’t feel like it) so I thought I’d give a Summer themed book tag a go. I found the Life’s a Beach tag on ZeZeewithBooks and thought it would be fun. Here is the Life’s a Beach book tag.

The Sand – A book that stuck with you long after you finished reading
I’ve thought about Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield almost every single day since I finished reading it last year. The story is beautiful, heart-breaking and poignant. I cannot recommend it enough.
The Sun – A book that burned you
I’d have to say This Bird Has Flown by Susanna Hoffs. I picked this up thinking I was going to absolutely love it and it completely let me down. It was boring, nothing like it was described and I couldn’t wait for it to be finished.
The Waves – A book that calms you down after a long day
One of my go-to books when I need to be calmed down and feel happy is To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. It is my comfort book and always brings me joy even if I only read the first chapter.
The Bathing Suit – A book with a pretty, summery cover
I’m going to say one that I read recently which is Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez which has a wonderful cover. It is pretty and in my opinion very summery. The book itself is incredible too!
The Birds – A book that is everywhere
I’ve seen Butter by Asako Yuzuki everywhere for the past couple of months. I own a copy myself because I felt like I was missing something by not reading it. I’ve yet to actually read it but have heard amazing things. So, I’m looking forward to reading it soon.
The Company – A book with wonderful characters
I loved all of the characters in Happy Place by Emily Henry. They all felt like friends from the very first page and would have read so much more about them.

There you have it, the life’s a beach book tag! What books do you want to read before the end of the summer? Let me know in the comments below!
