July Book Haul!

Happy August everyone! I’ve done it again and hauled way more books that I thought throughout July. I’ve added 21 books to my collection in July. This haul has some presents for myself, pre-orders and books kindly gifted to me by publishers. Here is my July book haul!

At the start of the month, I took a trip to Manchester with one of my best friends and we visited all the bookshops. I picked up Family Lore by Elizabeth Acevedo and More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa. I’m going to be reading both of these very soon!

After a few bad days I treated myself to another shopping trip. This lead to a lot of books being bought. From Waterstones, I picked up Everything’s Fine by Cecilia Rabess and The Love Dare by Abiola Bello which I’m looking forward to reading. Then I visited The Works and picked up Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young, That Kind of Guy by Stephanie Archer, The Au Pair Affair by Tessa Bailey and The Rule Book by Sarah Adams. All of these sound interesting and the deals on them were too good to miss.

I’ve been lucky enough to be gifted a few books this month by publishers. The lovely people at Pan MacMillan gifted me a finished copy of Children of Anguish and Anarchy by Tomi Adeyemi which is out now. Then, the wonderful Usbourne gifted me a copy of Old Wounds by Logan-Ashley Kisner which is out in September. Finally, Penguin gifted me copies of Finding Famous by Candice Jalili which is out now and Here Lies a Vengeful Bitch by Codie Crowley which is out in August. All of these are ones I’m so excited to read very soon.

The supermarkets in the UK at the minute have some excellent books on offer, so of course I picked up a couple. These were Business Casual by B.K. Borison which is one of my most anticipated reads of this year and Let the Games Begin by Rufaro Faith Mazarura. That one seemed perfect to pick up whilst the Olympics are on.

I’ve had a few pre-orders arrive this month which is always exciting. The first was The Ex Vows by Jessica Joyce which I’m halfway through and loving. Days later, Queen B by Juno Dawson and Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano arrived together. These both sound amazing. The last pre-order to arrive this month was Last Seen Online by Wren James. I’ve already read this one and it was extraordinary and will be sharing a full review very soon!

Towards the end of the month, I went on trip with my best friends in which some bookshops had to be visited. In those bookshops I picked up Cult Following by Bexy Cameron and After the Rain by Natália Gomes. Both have been on my wishlist for a while now and I’m excited to read them. A couple of days later whilst running some errands, I tripped and fell into Waterstones and bought Goodnight Tokyo by Atsuhiro Yohida whilst sounds incredible.

So, I ended the month with 21 more books than I began it with. Thank you so much to the publisher who gifted me one of the books included in this haul!
