August is nearly over and it has been a busy month. I spent a weekend away, went on a few walks, went to the cinema and spent time with friends and family. Here is what happened in August!

I’ve read 10 books throughout August which I’m quite happy with. They were all a lot of fun to read, for different reasons. I wrote a post a couple of days ago which is full of mini reviews for the books I read in August. You can find that here. Any of the books with hyperlinks are one which have a full review on my blog. Here is the shortened version of what I read in August!

August started with me and David taking a trip to Oxford to spend the weekend with his family that live there. It was so lovely. We went on a walk, had a pub lunch, visited the bookshops and even the Natural History Museum. It was lovely to catch up with them all and I can’t wait to see them all again soon.
We got some bad news in August which was very difficult to deal with. So, we spent quite a few days together, dealing with that and making sure we were okay. It is something I’m sure we will always remember. I’m so lucky to have had David, my family and friends by my side through it all.
Me and David took a trip to Manchester this month. We did some bookshopping, wandering and had a delicious steak at Flat Iron. This trip led me to discovering the joy of junk journalling. So, I’ve spent quite a bit of time this month doing just that.
One Friday after work I went on a cinema trip with my best friend to see It Ends With Us. We both disliked the book so wanted to give the film a go. It is safe to say our opinions haven’t changed on them both!
Days later i was back with my best friend to go on an adventure to get our hands on a copy of Daydream by Hannah Grace. A couple of shops later and we both had a beautiful sprayed edges copy in our hands. I’m reading it right now and loving it.
August has been an interesting month. Some parts of it I’d love to forget but the love I’ve got from friends, family and my husband this month have made it so much more bearable. I’m looking forward to seeing what September brings.

There you have it, August is almost over. I cannot wait to see what September holds. What has August been like for you and what have you read? Let me know in the comments below!

I really want to visit Oxford, it sounds so good! These books look really good, I read 4 books in August so I’m happy with that.
