Happy September everyone! I’ve done it once again and hauled way too many books throughout August. I’ve added 23 books to my collection in August. This haul has some presents for myself, pre-orders and books kindly gifted to me by publishers. Here is my August book haul!

At the start of the month, me and my husband took a trip to Oxford to see his family who live there. So of course, we visited some bookshops. From Blackwell’s I picked up The Bookshop Woman by Nanako Hanada which I cannot wait to read. Also, Coming Back by Jessi Zabarsky which I loved. Then, we visited Waterstones and I picked up The Next Best Fling by Gabriella Gamez, Edge of Here by Kelechi Okafor and Tokyo Express by Seichō Matsumoto. I’m excited to read all of them because they all sound incredible.
A little later on in the month, I went on a trip to Manchester which led to me buying more books. I picked up The Ghost Cat by Alex Howard, Happy Medium by Sarah Adams, Elena Knows by Claudia Piñeiro and Annie LeBlanc Is Not Dead Yet by Molly Morris. All four of these sounded incredible and I just had to add copies of them to my collection.
I was lucky enough to be gifted a couple of books by Little Tiger this month. The first was How to Survive a Horror Movie by Scarlett Dunmore which is out on 5th September and is going to be perfect to get in an Autumn mood. The other was Desert Echos by Abdi Nazemian which is out on 26th September and sounds incredible.
The supermarkets in the UK at the minute have some excellent books on offer, so of course I picked up a few. These were Prime Time Romance by Kate Robb, Such Charming Liars by Karen M. McManus and Enemies to Lovers by Laura Jane Williams. They all sounds amazing and were too good of a deal to miss.
I’ve had quite a few pre-orders arrive this month which is always exciting. The first was The Pairing by Casey McQuiston which I’ve already read and loved. Days later, Slow Dance by Rainbow Rowell arrived which I read immediately and loved.
There were two pre-order in August that I’d completely forgotten I’d done but was a lovely surprise when they arrived. They were The Break-Up Pact by Emma Lord and The Future by Naomi Alderman.
At the end of the month a package arrived containing two pre-orders. They were Morbidly Yours by Ivy Fairbanks and Yeonnam-dong’s Smiley Laundromat by Kim Jiyun. These are both very different from each other but both sound amazing.
Towards the end of the month, I took a quick trip to my local Waterstones during double points weekend and picked up So Late in the Day by Claire Keegan which I read immediately and loved. As well as Boy Parts by Eliza Clark which I’ve been wanting to read for quite a while now.
The last book I picked up in August was my most anticipated book of the entire year which is Daydream by Hannah Grace. I’m reading it at the moment and it is absolutely incredible.
So, I ended the month with 23 more books than I began it with. Thank you so much to the publisher who gifted me two of the books included in this haul!
