Goodreads was Wrong Tag

It feels like forever ago since I gave a book tag a go. So, when I saw the Goodreads was wrong tag on ZeZee with Books, I knew I had to give it a go. I already love seeing how my ratings compare to the average on Goodreads so this tag seemed like it would be a lot of fun. Here is the Goodreads was wrong tag.

That would have to be It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover. It has an average rating of 4.15 stars but I gave it 2 stars. I was not a fan of the book at all and feel like the hype it has got recently is being given to the wrong book.

That would have to be Faking It by Beth Reekles. It has an average rating of 2.92 stars but I gave it 4 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed it for a number of reasons and feel like the low rating is completely wrong. I’d highly recommend giving it a read.

For this one, I’m going to say The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. It has 3,022,845 reviews with an average rating of 3.96 stars. I gave it 2 stars and looking back feel like now, I would have given it 1 star. It was a read I would be very happy if I forgot completely.

I’m going to go back to Faking It by Beth Reekles. It only has 688 reviews on Goodreads with an average of 2.92 stars. But, as mentioned before I gave it 4 star and feel like it needs so much more love.

I tend to agree with the average ratings if I’m honest. More often than not I rate them just like the average but I do feel like it isn’t always right. That being said I do often check to see what the average rating of a book is on Goodreads before seeing if it worth picking up. If it has an average of under 3 stars, I tend to need some convincing to pick it up.

There you have it, the Goodreads was wrong tag! When has Goodreads and the average ratings been wrong for you? Let me know in the comments below!
