Annie LeBlanc Is Not Dead Yet – Molly Morris
I was intrigued by the odd concept of this book when I first saw it online and then saw the author was one I’d previously enjoyed a book by. So, of course I had to give it a read. It was odd, heart-warming and interesting YA book that was fun to read.
The Love Dare – Abiola Bello
After reading Abiola Bello’s Christmas themed stories, I was excited to see she was releasing a book set in summer. The Love Dare is a YA romance that is full of humour, friendship and adorable moments.
Currently I’m…
I don't have the ability to read one book at once, watch one show at once and listen to one album at once. I always have more than one, of each, on the go. I’m always intrigued by what other people are reading, watching and listening to. I think that it is a very good way to learn more about other people and to get recommendations at the same time. So, I started doing the ‘Currently I’m…‘ posts to share my current reads, watches and what I’m listening to with other people who are just as curious as I am. Here is what I am currently reading, watching and listening to.
When Haru Was Here – Dustin Thao
After reading the heartbreaking novel that was You’ve Reached Sam a couple of years ago, I’ve been keeping my eyes out for another book by Dustin Thao. So, when I saw the announcement about When Haru Was Here, I knew I was in for another book that would break my heart. I flew through reading it, it had me in tears and I'm sure so many people are going to love it!
What a Way to Go – Bella Mackie
Ever since reading How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie a couple of years ago, I’ve been keeping my eyes out for another book by her. So, I was really excited to give her latest release a read. What a Way to Go is a thrilling novel about money, family and unfortunate demises. It is packed full of dark comedy and witty writing. Bella Mackie’s latest novel is certainly not one to miss.
The Next Best Fling – Gabriella Gamez
Over the past few months I’ve been seeing a lot about The Next Best Fling online which lead to me having high hopes going into reading it. Unfortunately, these hopes were not lived up to. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it for a mixture of reasons. That being said I do think it may be perfect for some people!
August Book Haul!
Happy September everyone! I've done it once again and hauled way too many books throughout August. I've added 23 books to my collection in August. This haul has some presents for myself, pre-orders and books kindly gifted to me by publishers. Here is my August book haul!
What Happened in August?
August is nearly over and it has been a busy month. I spent a weekend away, went on a few walks and spent time with friends and family. Here is what happened in August!
Slow Dance – Rainbow Rowell
I’ve been reading Rainbow Rowell’s books for years now. Her YA books were a staple in my teenage years and as I've gotten older so have her adult novels. So, of course I was excited to see that she was releasing another adult romance this year. I was even more excited when I found out it was a second chance, friends-to-lovers romance. It lived up to all my expectations and turned out to be such a captivating and beautiful story.
