Today I am back once again with another of my new releases I’m excited about posts! October is another busy month when it comes to brand new Young Adult books. There is a lot of new releases this month that I am excited about and I cannot wait to give them all a read! Here are the October releases I am excited about!
Full Disclosure by Camryn Garrett
“Simone Garcia-Hampton is starting over at a new school, and this time things will be different. She’s making real friends, making a name for herself as student director of Rent, and making a play for Miles, the guy who makes her melt every time he walks into a room. The last thing she wants is for word to get out that she’s HIV-positive, because last time . . . well, last time things got ugly.”
I was lucky enough to be gifted an early copy of this book whilst at YALC so I am even more excited about this book being out in the world! I took this book with me to Sicily and thoroughly enjoyed it! I cannot recommend it enough!

Scars Like Wings by Erin Stewart
“Ava Lee has lost everything there is to lose: Her parents. Her best friend. Her home. Even her face. She doesn’t need a mirror to know what she looks like–she can see her reflection in the eyes of everyone around her.
A year after the fire that destroyed her world, her aunt and uncle have decided she should go back to high school. Be “normal” again. Whatever that is. Ava knows better. There is no normal for someone like her. And forget making friends–no one wants to be seen with the Burned Girl, now or ever.”
This is another book I was lucky enough to be gifted a copy of whilst I was at YALC but haven’t got round to reading just yet. I cannot wait to dive into this book and then see what other people think of it! It sounds similar to one of my favourite novels Faceless by Alyssa Sheinmel so I am looking forward to comparing the two!

The Places I’ve Cried in Public by Holly Bourne
“Amelie loved Reese. And she thought he loved her. But she’s starting to realise love isn’t supposed to hurt like this. So now she’s retracing their story and untangling what happened by revisiting all the places he made her cry.
Because if she works out what went wrong, perhaps she can finally learn to get over him.”
As soon as I found out that Holly Bourne had a new book coming out I was excited! Holly Bourne is well known for writing incredibly YA contemporary novels and I think this one will be no different! I cannot wait to get my hands on this!

Furious Thing by Jenny Downham
“Lexi’s angry. And it’s getting worse. If only she could stop losing her temper and behave herself, her step-father would accept her, her mum would love her like she used to and her step-brother would declare his crushing desire to spend the rest of his life with her. She wants these things so badly she determines to swallow her anger and make her family proud. But pushing fury down doesn’t make it disappear. Instead, it simmers below the surface waiting to erupt. There’ll be fireworks when it does.”
This is one I have seen talked about a lot on book Twitter and I feel I would be very interested in reading. I have thoroughly enjoyed Jenny Downham’s previous books and want to get my hands on this one and give it a go!
