I was on the hunt for a new book tag and stumbled upon this one which I believe originated from Laura’s Book Reviews! I love doing these tags because I am always so intrigued to see other people’s answers. Here is the bookish confessions tag!

Which book, most recently, did you not finish?

During the Crime Readathon I started to read I Survived by Victoria Cilliers but stopped reading it almost immediately. I just couldn’t get into the writing style or the story. I may give it another go in the future though.

Which book is your guilty pleasure?

The entire To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series by Jenny Han. I could read that series over and over again. I adore the series and it brings me so much joy when I am reading them so I will be reading them over and over again for years to come.

What book do you love to hate?

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. I hate that book so much but I do love ranting about how much I hate it on a regular basis.

Which book would you throw into the sea?

For the amount it made me cry, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I sobbed at this book so I’d love to throw it into the sea in upset but then I’d swim to get it and nurse it back to being a dry book again!

Which book have you read the most?

I think this is probably Matilda by Roald Dahl. I have read this so many times both as an adult and a child and it is still a favourite of mine. It holds so many memories for me and I think it is the book I’ve read the most.

Which book would you hate to receive as a present?

Any of the Twilight books. I hate the series and it wasn’t something I was a fan of when I was a teenager and it certainly isn’t something I’m a fan of now. So, I’d hate to receive those books as a gift.

Which book could you not live without?

I would have to say The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James. It is my favourite book of all time and a book that I go back and reread sections of very regularly. It is an odd comfort book but I’d say this is that for me.

Which book made you cry the most?

This is a toss up between The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and Fierce Fragile Hearts by Sara Barnard. Both of these books made me sob for different reasons and I loved them both. I remember sitting down after finishing these books and having to calm myself down after crying so much!

Which book cover do you love the most?

I’m going to go off book cover alone for this question. For that reason it would have to be On a Sunbeam by Tillie Walden. It is such a gorgeous cover that I’ve looked at for a very long time!

There you have it, the Bookish Confessions tag! Have you got any bookish confessions? Let me know in the comments below. If you do this tag, let me know, I’d love to see your answers!
