A few days ago I shared my blogging goals for 2021. Not only do I set myself blogging goals each year, I also set myself some reading goals. I shared my blogging goals the other day, so today I am going to be sharing my reading goals for the year ahead. Here are my 2021 reading goals!
Read 50 Books
Last year I managed somehow to read 130 books. I think this is because of how many lockdowns we were in and how long I had off work, thanks to that and a number of other things. This year I’m hoping this doesn’t happen, not because I want less reading time but I want a more normal year.
So, I have set my reading goal for this year at 50 books. This means I can relax with my reading but it is also a goal I have set and want to achieve. Let’s hope I can read 50 books and maybe even make my goal higher later in the year.
Shorten my TBR
At the moment my TBR is never-ending. I’m positive that every single day it increased but it never goes down. So, this year I would like to make the effort to shorten my TBR.
I am going to do this by reading books that have been on my backlist for a while. Unhauling books I know I will no longer read and no buy books just for the fun of it. Let’s see how this one goes, I don’t know how well I will do with this one at all.
Listen to More Audiobooks
I love reading and I love listening to music and podcasts. So, this year I really want to make an effort to read and listen to more audiobooks.
I have a few books on my audible that still need listening to and I also use my libraries app for eBooks and audiobooks. So, I am going to reserve more books and listen to them whenever I can. I love audiobooks and I want to spend more time listening to them in 2021.
Have you set yourself any goals for 2021? Let me know in the comments!
