What’s On My Netgalley TBR?

I have something to confess. I have addiction when it comes to requesting books on Netgalley. This means that my Netgalley TBR is never-ending which is both a good and bad thing. I do love talking about the books I’m excited about reading though and in turn it makes me even more excited to read them. There have been so many amazing books on my Netgalley shelf over the years and it is a place I’ve found so many new authors. Here is what’s new this month on my Netgalley shelf / TBR!

The Trail by Laura Bates

After a plane crash sees a group of seven teens washed up on a desert island, their first thought is survival. But a terrible secret from a party the night before has followed them ashore. Facing deadly threats and the fear of being stranded forever, they quickly discover that being the most popular kid in High School doesn’t help when you’re fighting to stay alive. As the island deals each of them a dangerous blow, it’s clear that someone is looking for justice. Now survival depends on facing the truth about that party: who was hurt that night, and who let it happen?

For someone who is scared of planes and more specifically plane crashes, I’m not quite sure why I requested this one. That is until I started reading it! It is such a thrilling and intriguing novel which I’m looking forward to seeing what happens throughout the rest of the book. I’ll be sharing my thoughts soon.

All the Feels by Olivia Dade

Alexander Woodroe has it all. Charm. Wealth. A starring role on the biggest show on TV. But the showrunners have wrecked his character, he’s hounded by old demons and his future remains uncertain. When all that reckless emotion explodes into a bar fight, the tabloids and public agree: his star is falling.

Enter Lauren, the former therapist hired to keep him in line. Compared to her previous work, watching over a handsome but impulsive actor shouldn’t be especially difficult. But the more time she spends with Alex, the harder it is to hold on to her professionalism, and her heart . . .

When another scandal lands him in major hot water, and costs Lauren her job, Alex becomes determined to keep his impossibly stubborn and extremely endearing minder in his life any way he can. On a road trip up the California coast together, he intends to show her exactly what a falling star will do to catch the woman he loves . . .

I read a book by Olivia Dade last year and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So, the minute that I saw that her latest novel was avaliable to request on Netgalley, I did just that. I’m looking forward to seeing what this book has in store for me and I’m sure it will be one I read quite quickly!

Stay Another Day by Juno Dawson

When three very different siblings, Fern, Rowan and Willow, go home for a Christmas reunion at their family home in Edinburgh, it’s not long before some VERY BIG SECRETS threaten their cosy holiday …

The McAllister house on Arboretum Road has seen 120 Christmases since its completion.

This year, FERN is bringing her gorgeous boyfriend home and she wants everything to be perfect.

But her twin brother ROWAN would rather go on the pull than pull crackers with the family.

And their younger sister WILLOW is terrified of Christmas Day.

With FOUR sleeps till Christmas,
THREE secretive siblings,
TWO hot houseguests,
And ONE juicy secret …
This Christmas, there will be some BIG surprises under the tree.

A new Juno Dawson book? Sign me up. A Juno Dawson book about Christmas? Even better! I cannot wait to see what this story has in store because I’m sure it will be a whirlwind of a ride. Juno Dawson always finds a way to show the lives of people in such an intriguing and enthralling way. I cannot wait to read this.

Fools in Love by Rebecca Barrow, Gloria Chao, Mason Deaver, Sara Farizan, Claire Kann, Malinda Lo, Hannah Moskowitz, Natasha Ngan, Lilliam Rivera, Laura Silverman, Amy Spalding, Rebecca Kim Wells and Julian Winters

Fake relationships. Enemies to lovers. Love triangles and best friends, mistaken identities and missed connections. This collection of genre-bending and original stories celebrates how love always finds a way, featuring powerful flora, a superhero and his nemesis, a fantastical sled race through snow-capped mountains, a golf tournament, the wrong ride-share, and even the end of the world.

I am a huge fan of short story anthologies. I love reading them over a period of time too. So, reading a story a night before bed. When this one was available on Netgalley I requested it immediately. Not only will it satisfy my need for short stories, it will also satisfy my need for romantic stories. I cannot wait to read this!
