October has been a long, busy and fun month! It was my 24th birthday, I went on holiday, I went to the theatre, saw friends and a lot more. Here is what happened in October!
October has been a long, busy but fun month. I've not read much this month again but I am slowly but surely getting out of my reading slump which makes me happy. I've read 6 books throughout October! So, I am back with another what I've read this month post! I have some thoughts that I wanted to share on the book I read throughout October. Here is a bunch of mini review for the books I read in October!
In this sensational agenda-setting début, Michaela Coel, BAFTA-winning actor and writer of breakout series I May Destroy You and Chewing Gum, makes a compelling case for radical honesty. Drawing on her unflinching Edinburgh Festival MacTaggart lecture, Misfits recounts deeply personal anecdotes from Coel’s life and work to argue for greater transparency. With insight and wit, it lays bare her journey to reclaiming her creativity and power, inviting readers to reflect on theirs. Advocating for ‘misfits’ everywhere, this timely, necessary book is a rousing and bold case against fitting in.
I've been in a reading slump for the past two months but the wonderful If the Shoe Fits by Julie Murphy has pulled me right out of that. I loved it so much and I wanted to do what I normally do with a book that I enjoy, which is pick a quote from it and get designing. So, that is exactly what I did.
I am always requesting things on Netgalley, which means my Netgalley TBR is never-ending. This is both a good and bad thing. Good because it means lots of books and bad because it means my TBR grows and grows. I do love talking about the books that I am excited about reading though and in turn it makes me more excited to read them. There have been so many amazing books on my Netgalley shelf over the years and it is a place I've found so many new authors. Here is what is on my Netgalley shelf / TBR!
In true me fashion I started a Scribd free trail last month and forgot to cancel it. I plan on doing this by listening to 5 audiobooks in a very short amount of time! I wanted to share them with you. Here are the 5 audiobooks I want to read soon.
