September Book Haul!

To say I have been in a reading slump for the entirety of September, my book haul is very large. Throughout September I hauled 13 books! This haul consists of a few pre-orders, some presents for myself and some gifted to me by publishers. Here is my September book haul!

At the start of the month I took a trip to a bookstore with a friend. We are bad influences on each other so of course I left with some books. I picked up Every Line of You by Naomi Gibson because this book sounds so interesting and right up my street. Also, The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang which has been on my radar for a while and I am looking forward to reading. Finally, In at the Deep End by Kate Davies, which I picked up because I read a couple of lines and immediately wanted to read the rest!

This month I had a few pre-orders arrive. The first was The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes which I am reading at the moment and enjoying! Also, Dark and Shallow Lies by Ginny Myers Sain which has been getting incredible reviews online. Finally, Defy the Night by Brigid Kemmerer which I am excited to read very soon because I need some more of her books in my life!

The wonderful people at Harper360 sent me a copy of We Can Be Heroes by Kyrie McCauley (gifted) as well. This one sounds so interesting and I’m looking forward to reading it soon!

I took a trip to Manchester towards the end of the month and visited a couple of bookshops there. I went into Queer Lit for the first time, which is an LGBTQ+ bookshop in the Northern Quarter of Manchester. It was wonderful and I would highly recommend you visit! I bought Lost in the Never Woods by Aidan Thomas and Some Girls Do by Jennifer Dugan. Both of these books are ones I’ve been on the look out for for a while! Then, I took a trip to Waterstones and picked up The Trail by Laura Bates because it really intrigued me. Also, Not Here To Be Liked by Michelle Quach, which I’ve been looking forward to for a while.

After I had my operation, I was feeling very sorry for myself. So, when I saw that The Bookish Type, an indie bookstore, was having a buy one get one free sale I had a browse online. I got myself This is Kind of an Epic Love Story by Kacen Callendar because I loved Felix Ever After. Also Two Boys Kissing by David Levithan because it has been on my wishlist for such a long time.

Overall, I ended the month with 13 more physical books than I started it with. I’m planning on reading them all very soon!

What books did you buy in September and what books are you excited for in October? Let me know in the comments!
