What Happened in September?

September has been a really busy, long and eventful month. I’ve been in a reading slump, I had an operation, my dog was very unwell and I had my house re-plastered. Here is what happened in September!

I only read 6 books this month. All of which I read at the start of the month. I am really struggling to get into any books at the moment and it feels like my reading slump will never end. I did enjoy the books that I read this month though. I wrote a post a couple of days ago that goes into detail, with mini reviews, about what I read in September. So, be sure to check that out! Here is the the shortened version of what I read in September!

I am still absolutely loving blogging and I’ve stuck to my blog planning schedule very well too. So, I wanted to share the 5 posts that I enjoyed writing the most throughout September! Here are my top 5 posts for Septmber!

At the start of this month my dog became very ill with pneumonia. It was a very difficult time as we were unsure if she would make it. Miraculously, she pulled through and continues to get better. She is currently sat next to me asleep and it is wonderful!

Also, this month I went to my first concert since the start of the pandemic. I went to see The Vamps with my sister. We’ve followed the band for almost 10 years so it was lovely to see them again. A week later, I went to see Blossoms too which was incredible.

I took myself to the cinema to watch Shang-Chi which I loved. Then, I went with David to watch The Many Saints of Newark which we loved. If you are a Sopranos fan, it is definitely worth the watch.

The re-decorating of my house continued this month. A few more rooms are now re-plastered and are in the process of being painted. I cannot wait to continue the decorating process.

This month I also had an operation. It was a last minute operation and I was not in anyway prepared for how floored I would be afterwards. I had a laparoscopy to help in my diagnosis of Endometriosis. I’m still really struggling with my energy levels and pain levels but I am positive that I will continue to improve. I’m just glad that the operation happened at a time when waiting lists are incredibly long.

I’m looking forward to seeing what October brings, to recover and also my birthday!

That is it, September is over. I cannot wait to see what October holds. What has September been like for you and what have you read? Let me know in the comments below!
