New Book Releases I’m Excited For! – December

Can you believe it is almost the last month of 2021? We are nearly ready (not really) for 2022. A new months means new books being released that I am adding to my TBR! I am always adding a lot of new books to my TBR because I love finding new stories. New stories mean new adventures and what more can you want!

There are quite a few new books coming out in December and I cannot wait to share some of my most anticipated with you. Here are the new book releases I’m excited for in December!

You’ll Be the Death of Me by Karen M. McManus

Ivy, Mateo, and Cal used to be close. Back in middle school they were best friends. So, when Cal pulls into campus late for class, and runs into Ivy and Mateo, it seems like the perfect opportunity to turn a bad day around. They’ll ditch school and go into the city. Just the three of them, like old times. Why did they stop hanging out, anyway?

As soon as they pull out of the parking lot Cal knows why. Ivy’s already freaking out about missing class, and heartthrob Mateo is asleep in the backseat, too cool to even pretend like he wants to be there. The truth is they have nothing in common anymore.

Being the silly person I am, I included this in last months list because a website listed the release date wrong. It actually releases in December but that doesn’t mean I’m in any way less excited. I’m actually going to be part of a big blog tour in the lead up to the release of this book so expect my review very soon!

Fools in Love by Rebecca Barrow, Ashley Herring Blake, Gloria Chao, Mason Deaver, Sara Farizan, Claire Kann, Malinda Lo, Hannah Moskowitz, Natasha Ngan, Rebecca Podos, Lilliam Rivera, Laura Silverman, Amy Spalding, Rebecca Kim Wells, and Julian Winters

Fake relationships. Enemies to lovers. Love triangles and best friends, mistaken identities and missed connections. This collection of genre-bending and original stories celebrates how love always finds a way, featuring powerful flora, a superhero and his nemesis, a fantastical sled race through snow-capped mountains, a golf tournament, the wrong ride-share, and even the end of the world.

This book has been on my radar for quite a while now. I love a collection of short stories and this one is by a whole host of authors who I’ve either loved or heard amazing things about. I am hoping to read one of these stories each night before bed in the lead up to Christmas. I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts on this one!

If This Gets Out by Cale Dietrich and Sophie Gonzales

Eighteen-year-olds Ruben Montez and Zach Knight are two members of the boy-band Saturday, one of the biggest acts in America. Along with their bandmates, Angel Phan and Jon Braxton, the four are teen heartbreakers in front of the cameras and best friends backstage. But privately, cracks are starting to form: their once-easy rapport is straining under the pressures of fame, and Ruben confides in Zach that he’s feeling smothered by management’s pressure to stay in the closet.

On a whirlwind tour through Europe, with both an unrelenting schedule and minimal supervision, Ruben and Zach come to rely on each other more and more, and their already close friendship evolves into a romance. But when they decide they’re ready to tell their fans and live freely, Zach and Ruben start to truly realize that they will never have the support of their management. How can they hold tight to each other when the whole world seems to want to come between them?

I’ve been excited about this book for such a long time now. It has such an amazing premise which makes me want to read it as soon as possible. On top of that, this book is getting some incredible reviews already which makes me even more excited to give it a read. This book has a completely different release date in the US versus the UK but I wanted to share it this month so more people know that it is on the way! I cannot wait to read this.

7th December 2021 (US) / 6th January 2022 (UK)

Here’s to Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera

SYNOPSIS FOR FIRST BOOK IN SERIES TO AVOID SPOILERS

Arthur is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it.

Ben thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things.

But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them?

Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated.

Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.

I am trying to contain my excitement for this book! I cannot wait to dive back into the world of Ben and Arthur. I absolutely adored the first book in this series so of course I am anticipating this one being as excellent. There is something magical about Becky and Adam working together on a book and I am looking forward to this once again. I cannot wait to read this one and share my thoughts!
