2021 Goals Recap!

At the beginning of 2021 I set myself 6 goals. I set myself 3 reading goals and 3 blogging goals. I wanted to start 2022 by looking back on these goals and seeing if I achieved them. Here is my 2021 goals recap!

I’ll start by having a look back on the blogging goals I set!

Try New Things with Blogging

I wanted to try out some new things on my blog in 2021. I did talk a little bit more about lifestyle and other things have interest in. I would love to do more of this in 2022 because I loved the variety of writing posts like this. I wrote one of my relationship with makeup and one about solo cinema trips. I’d like to write more like this in the future.

Use all Social Media Platforms to their Full Potential

I used my social media so much more in 2021. I got into using Pinterest to promote my blog and had a lot of fun with this. I did not use Instagram as much as I would have hope but I am completely fine with this. Twitter is still my favourite of the lot. I did find a lot of love for TikTok this year though and have loved creating videos over on there. Also, I made sure to limit my social media usage when necessary.

Host / Run a Book Event

This is a goal I originally set in 2020 but due to the pandemic it never happened. I’m going to et this one again for 2022 because as you can expect 2021 did not allow for this. I am hopeful that this year will though! I’m hoping that I’ll have the ability to host a book event within my libraries this year, fingers crossed!

Read 50 Books

I read 115 books in total in 2021! I did not expect to read that many at all but I’m proud that I did. I tried my best not to pressure myself into reading to meet a goal this year and it meant I enjoyed reading a whole lot more. I plan on doing the same in 2022. I may not have read the same as the year before but it is still more than I expected!

Shorten my TBR

I made an effort to try my best to shorten my TBR in 2021 but I think it actually increased. I did do a better job of unhauling books that I wouldn’t be re-reading or have bought and knew I wouldn’t read. So, in a round about way I did somewhat of a good job of shortening my TBR. Let’s hope it continues!

Listen to More Audiobooks

I did listen to a whole bunch more audiobooks this year. Also, quite the variety of them as well. I love listening to audiobooks as it tells a story in a whole new way. I am hoping to continue to listen to more audiobooks throughout 2022. So, if you have any recommendations please let me know!
