July Book Haul!

Happy August everyone! It is the beginning of a new month which means it is book haul time! This haul consists of 10 books which is less than I expected it to be. It has books gifted from publishers and a few books I’ve picked up on my shopping trips in July. Here is my July book haul!

At the start of the month I went on a shopping trip to buy some essentials and I thought it would be rude to not stumble into my local Waterstones. Whilst there I picked up The King is Dead by Benjamin Dean which I read later this month and loved. Also, I picked up This Place is Still Beautiful by XiXi Tian. I started reading that one as soon as I got home and it is such a stunning debut novel. The last book I picked up on this trip was My Mechanical Romance by Alexene Farol Follmuth which was just a lovely and sweet YA contemporary book!

A few days later I was in one of my local supermarkets when I spotted This is Not The End by Molly Morris which I have seen so much about online. So, I had to pick up a copy for myself. Then, after a bad day at work I ordered myself a copy of My Killer Vacation by Tessa Bailey after hearing so many good things about it online. Also, I ordered a copy of Something Certain, Maybe by Sara Barnard which I loved reading.

I went on another shopping trip with my sister a few days later and I took her into the Waterstones there. I picked up The Society for Soulless Girls by Laura Steven which I cannot recommend enough. It is such a dark and twisty YA book that I couldn’t put down. I’d had my eye on Seven Days in June by Tia Williams for a while so I picked that up too. It wasn’t a favourite read of mine from this month but it was an enjoyable one.

I was sent two books this month by some lovely publishers. The first was Big Bad Me by Aislin O’Loughlin which was sent to me by Little Island. I cannot wait to read this one. I think it will be perfect in the lead up to Halloween. Finally, I was sent All My Rage by Sabaa Tahir from Little Brown Books. I am currently reading this one and loving it so far and cannot wait to share my thoughts.

So, I ended the month with 10 more books than I began it with. Thank you so much to the publishers who gifted me some of the books included in this haul! I’m proud of myself for having read 6 of these already.

What books did you get in July and what books are you excited for in August? Let me know in the comments!
