What’s On My Netgalley TBR?

I am still managing to keep my Netgalley TBR under some form of control. There are still a number of books on them but I am determined to get it down to just a couple book over the next few months. Writing this sort of post each month helps me to see what is on my TBR and holds me accountable when I haven’t read them on time. So, I wanted to share some of the books that are currently on my Netgalley TBR! Here are some of the books that are currently on my Netgalley shelf / TBR!

Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Carrie Soto is fierce, and her determination to win at any cost has not made her popular.

By the time Carrie retires from tennis, she is the best player the world has ever seen. She has shattered every record and claimed twenty Slam titles. And if you ask her, she is entitled to every one. She sacrificed nearly everything to become the best, with her father as her coach.

But six years after her retirement, Carrie finds herself sitting in the stands of the 1994 US Open, watching her record be taken from her by a brutal, stunning, British player named Nicki Chan.

At thirty-seven years old, Carrie makes the monumental decision to come out of retirement and be coached by her father for one last year in an attempt to reclaim her record. Even if the sports media says that they never liked the ‘Battle-Axe’ anyway. Even if her body doesn’t move as fast as it did. And even if it means swallowing her pride to train with a man she once almost opened her heart to: Bowe Huntley. Like her, he has something to prove before he gives up the game forever.

In spite of it all: Carrie Soto is back, for one epic final season. In this riveting and unforgettable novel, Taylor Jenkins Reid tells a story about the cost of greatness and a legendary athlete attempting a comeback.

I cannot contain my excitement for reading this book! A new Taylor Jenkins Reid book is something I’ve wanted ever since I read Malibu Rising. This one sounds like it is going to be incredible and another new favourite book of mine, no doubt. I will be reading this one as soon as I can and then sharing my thoughts!

The Setup by Lizzy Dent

Mara Williams reads her horoscope every day – but she wasn’t expecting to be in a whole other country when destiny finally found her. Just as a fortune teller reveals that her true love is about to arrive, a gorgeous stranger literally walks into her life. And now Mara is determined to bring them together again . . . Surely even fate needs a nudge in the right direction sometimes?

But while Mara is getting ready for ‘the one’, the universe intervenes. Her new flatmate Ash is funny, and kind, and sexy as hell . . . There was no predicting this: it’s as if her destiny just arrived on her doorstep.

So will Mara put her destiny in fate’s hands – or finally trust herself to reach for the stars?

I actually reserved this in the library way before I was approved for it on Netgalley and my reservation arrived this weekend. So, I will be reading it very soon. It sounds like a book that is right up my street and one that I cannot wait to sit down and read.

All the Feels by Olivia Dade

Alexander Woodroe has it all. Charm. Wealth. A starring role on the biggest show on TV. But the showrunners have wrecked his character, he’s hounded by old demons and his future remains uncertain. When all that reckless emotion explodes into a bar fight, the tabloids and public agree: his star is falling.

Enter Lauren, the former therapist hired to keep him in line. Compared to her previous work, watching over a handsome but impulsive actor shouldn’t be especially difficult. But the more time she spends with Alex, the harder it is to hold on to her professionalism, and her heart . . .

When another scandal lands him in major hot water, and costs Lauren her job, Alex becomes determined to keep his impossibly stubborn and extremely endearing minder in his life any way he can. On a road trip up the California coast together, he intends to show her exactly what a falling star will do to catch the woman he loves . . .

This has been on my Netgalley shelf for such a long time now but for some reason I still haven’t read it. The formatting on the NEtgalley copy isn’t the easiest to read so I’ve now got a physical copy which I will be reading instead. I’ve heard excellent things about it and I want to read it soon.
