Would You Rather? – Book Tag

I feel like it has been ages since I last did a book tag. So, when I saw this one (originally on Socially Awkward Bookworm) I wanted to give it a good. I love a good game of would you rather and this one is book themed. Here is the would you rather book tag!

Would you rather only read trilogies or only read standalones?

Standalones! I will always prefer reading standalones for a few reasons. With trilogies I feel like my interest in the series and waiting for new books can dwindle but with a standalone I can get excited, read the one book and then move on. So, definitely standalones!

Would you rather shop at Waterstones or Amazon?

I will always pick a bookshop over a huge online corporation but would actually prefer an indie bookshop over Waterstones. I’m lucky to have a Waterstones local to me and use that all the time. But, if there is a indie shop nearby to where I am visiting as oppose to the Waterstones I will shop in the indie shop as I love to support the local businesses.

Would you rather books were made into TV shows or movies?

I would have to say TV shows. I am more likely to watch a TV show as I enjoy something that will entertain me for more than a couple of hours. Also, I feel like when a book is made into a TV show they can put more of the book into it as they have more time to fill. Don’t get me wrong I love books being made into movies but I prefer when it is a TV show.

Would you rather read only 5 pages per day or 5 books per week?

I always try to read at least 10 pages of a book per day so for this one I’ll pick 5 books per week. I find reading at the end of a busy day or just for 5 minutes to switch off and relax really helps my mental health. So, I would definitely want to read more than 5 pages per day.

Would you rather be a professional author or reviewer?

Reviewer! I could not write a book, I am not that skilled. I can barely write reviews! So, I would have to stick to reviews, even if they are badly written ones.

Would you rather be a librarian or a bookseller?

I already work in a library as a library manager so I have to go with librarian for this one! I love my work and what I do so I would definitely stick to libraries. I’m sure being a bookseller is a lot of fun but I love libraries with all my heart! Working in a library is so much more than the books too and I love the variety each day has in libraries.

Would you rather read only your favourite genre, or every other genre but your favourite?

Only my favourite genre! I think I’d be quite happy just reading contemporary romance books especially as there is so much variety in them too. I do not think I would ever get bored.

Would you rather only read e-books or physical books?

Physical books! I love holding a book in my hands.
