Tomorrow is my 25th birthday! I’m ready for a few days off work to relax and spend time with family and friends. I did this book tag last year and thought it would be fun to do it again and see if my answers have changed. Here is the birthday book tag!

Birthday Cake – A book with a plot that seems cliché but you adore it anyway
You and Me on Vacation by Emily Henry. It is quite clear from the first page what is going to happen in this book but I adored it. It is a book I will certainly be re-reading despite its clichés. It is just an excellent book.
Party Guests – Your most anticipated book release this year
I cannot wait to finally read The First to Die at the End by Adam Silvera. I’ve been looking forward to reading this book for such a long time now and it comes out on my birthday! I will be reading this as soon as my pre-order arrives.
Birthday Presents – A book that surprised you with how much you loved it
All That’s Left in the World by Erik J. Brown. I was expecting to enjoy it but it completely blew me away. It captivated me right away and is one of my favourite reads from the past year. I would highly recommend it!
The Happy Birthday Song – A book that certainly deserved all the hype it got
Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid. This book deserves all the hype that it got and so much more. I adored this book and could not put it down. Taylor Jenkins Reid has a way with words and even though I’m not a tennis fan, this book had be captivated. Believe the hype and read this book!
Happy Music – A book with some very beautiful and truly memorable quotes
Anxious People by Fredrik Backman is full of beautiful quotes. They are sometimes deep but other times just talk about general life and it is beautiful. If you are looking for a book that is both fun, moving, heart-warming and a whole bunch more, I would recommend this one.
Getting Older – A book that you read a long time ago, but you think that you would appreciate it more if you read now
Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. I adored it the first time that I read it but I think if would enjoy it even more if I was to pick it up now. I think I would appreciate the story a lot more too.
Sweet Birthday Memories – A book that kept you incredibly happy during a sad or demanding period of your life
Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Sutanto. I was reading this whilst I was incredibly busy and stressed with work. Spending a while each day reading this book and immersing myself in the story really helped me to stay calm and relax.

There you have it, the Birthday Book Tag! I’m looking forward to my birthday and having a few days to relax!

Happy birthday! I hope it’s amazing! 🎂🎉
