Happy January everyone! We are a couple of days into the the new year now, so I am back with another book haul. This haul consists of 16 books and has some books gifted by publishers, pre-orders, gifts and a couple of books I picked up for myself. Here is my December book haul!

I picked up a few books for myself this month whilst out and about. One of them was Hollow Fires by Samira Ahmed as I’ve had it on my wishlist for ages now. I took a trip to The Works and their 3 for £6 book deal had so many amazing books in it. So, I picked up The Singles Table by Sara Desai, When in Rome by Sarah Adams and Bad Things Happen Here by Rebecca Barrow.
I had a pre-orders arrive this month. It was late arriving but that doesn’t matter! It was The Lies We Tell by Katie Zhao which I am excited to read as I enjoyed Katie Zhao’s previous book. I worked my way through my Christmas TBR way quicker than I expected so I bought a copy of Holiday Romance by Catherine Walsh which immediately became one of my favourite books of the year!
I ended up spending quite a bit of money at the Waterstones hardback half-price sale this month. Luckily, I had a few gift cards from Christmas that I used. My first pick was I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy which I have been wanting to read for a while now and sounds incredible. I’ve had my eye on Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus for a while now and the sale seemed like the perfect time to pick up a copy. Also, I spotted a signed copy of Idol by Louise O’Neill and picked it up immediately! I picked up a copy of One Day I Shall Astonish the World by Nina Stibbe as it I’ve been meaning to read this one for a while now.
I took a second trip to the Waterstones sale a couple of days later and picked up even more books. I had to get myself a special edition copy of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid as it is one of my favourite books. Also, Welcome to Your Life by Bethany Rutter which has been on my radar for a while now. Finally, I picked up A Scatter of Light by Malinda Lo as it has a stunning cover and sounds so interesting!
I was very lucky in December to be gifted a few books by lovely publishers and my lovely friends. My best friend gave me a copy of Here Comes the Sun by Nicole Dennis-Benn which I have been wanting to read for ages. Harper360 gifted me a copy of The Wrong Kind of Weird by James Ramos which I am looking forward to reading soon. Lastly, Usborne gifted me a copy of Royal Blood by Aimée Carter.
So, I ended the month with 16 more books than I began it with. Thank you so much to the publishers who gifted me some of the books included in this haul!
