66 Books & Road Trip Book Haul

Last weekend, my two best friends and I, went on a bookish road trip. We visited a number of book shops and visited 66 Books for their ‘book club weekend’. I did a post about the whole weekend a couple of days ago, so be sure to check out that one. I wanted to share the 24 books I picked up over the weekend. Here is my 66 books and road trip book haul!

On my trip to 66 Books I picked up 16 books. They should have cost me over £150 but thanks to it being a ‘book club weekend’ and everything being 70% off, they only cost me £47, which is incredible! I picked up a few random things whilst there and others I’ve had on my wish list for a while. There are so many I picked up that I am excited about, others I’ve loved and wanted a physical copy of and some I picked up for my fiancé. It was an amazing experience and I will certainly be visiting again. Here is what I got from 66 Books:

  • The Chain by Adrian McKinty
  • Build Your House Around My Body by Violet Kupersmith
  • Perfect Sound Whatever by James Acaster
  • Starling Days by Rowan Hisayo Buchanan
  • James Acaster’s Classic Scrapes by James Acaster
  • Before I Do by Sophie Cousens
  • Little Eyes by Samanta Schweblin
  • Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez
  • Slingshot by Mercedes Helnwein
  • Cherry by Nico Walker
  • Talking with Serial Killers by Christopher Berry-Dee
  • Serendipity by Various Authors
  • 25 Days in December by Poppy Alexander
  • Parkland by Dave Cullen
  • Thin Air by Michelle Paver
  • Adventures of a Young Naturalist by David Attenborough

After the trip to 66 Books we went book shopping in St Alban’s. Whilst there I picked up, Boy Like Me by Simon James Green and This Time It’s Real by Ann Liang from Waterstones. Both of these have been on my wishlist for a while and I’m looking forward to reading them. From Books on the Hill I picked up Things Remembered and Things Forgotten by Kyoko Nakajima. I’ve had my eye on this for a while and when it was on the recommended table in the shop, I had to grab a copy.

On a quick stop off in Leicester, I picked up Columbine by Dave Cullen. I’ve seen some amazing reviews for this one recently and I’m intrigued to give it a read.

In a charity shop in Nottingham, I spotted a copy of Just Like Magic by Sarah Hogle. I’m looking forward to picking this one up at Christmas. The Waterstones in Nottingham is stunning and we spent a good few hours there. I added three books to my haul there too, Ship Wrecked by Olivia Dade and While We Were Dating by Jasmine Guillory for me. Then, The Horror in the Museum by H.P. Lovecraft for my fiancé.

I’m very happy with the 24 books I picked up over the weekend and I can’t wait to get reading them!

There you have it, my 66 Books and Road Trip book haul! Are there any books on this haul you’ve loved or are on your TBR? Let me know in the comments!
