Audiobooks On My Wishlist

Audiobooks are one of my favourite ways to read. I love listening to them on my commute to work, or whilst I’m cleaning or doing little jobs around the house. I have so many audiobooks on my wishlist at the moment and I wanted to share some of them with you! Here are some audiobooks on my wishlist!

Lizzie Blake’s Best Mistakes by Mazey Eddings

Lizzie Blake has made endless mistakes. Kitchen fires, pyramid schemes, you name it, she’s done it…and made a mess of it too.

One mistake she never makes? Risking anything more serious than a one-off hook-up. But after losing yet another bakery job due to her uncontrolled ADHD, she breaks her cardinal rule and has a two-night stand.

Once burned, twice shy, Rake has given up on relationships. And feelings. And any form of intimacy for that matter. Two nights with charming, chaotic Lizzie might have him lowering his guard, but then he’s heading back to Australia, far away from the surprising feelings that she seems to inspire. But when Lizzie realises she’s pregnant, Rake knows he’ll do anything to be in his child’s life, but emotional vulnerability is off the table.

Except everyone makes mistakes, and Lizzie and Rake might have just stumbled upon the best mistake of their lives.

After reading The Plus One audiobook which is a companion novel to this book, I had to add it to my wishlist. I’ve seen some amazing reviews of it online and I know it is one of those books that will be easy to read and just fun! Also, it looks perfect for the summer.

The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez

Kristen Petersen is perfectly fine. She has friends she’d fight to the death for and the very best dog in the world: Stuntman Mike. In fact, everything’s calm in the world of Kristen, until she starts to plan her best friend’s wedding and meets the best man, Josh Copeland.

Josh is funny, sexy, stands up to her sarcasm, and is always one snack ahead of her hangry. Even Stuntman Mike adores him. But he wants a big family, and Kristen knows children are probably not a part of her future.

She’s sure he’d be better off with someone else, someone who can give him everything he wants, so Kristen keeps him at arm’s length: in the Friend Zone. But as their attraction grows, it’s harder and harder to resist falling for the man who seems to be everything she’s not allowed to have….

After reading two books by Abby Jimenez last month, I want to read every book she has ever released. This is book one in the other series that Abby Jimenez has released and I would love to read it very soon. It sounds excellent and I’ll definitely be reading it soon.

The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren

Felicity ‘Fizzy’ Chen is lost. Sure, she has an incredible career as a beloved romance novelist with numerous bestsellers to her name, but when she’s asked to give a commencement address, it hits her: she hasn’t been practising what she’s preached.

She hasn’t been in love. In lust? Sure. But that swoon-worthy, can’t-stop-thinking-about-him, all-encompassing feeling? Nope. And suddenly the optimism she’s encouraged in her readers starts to feel like a lie.

Connor Prince, documentary filmmaker and single father, loves that his work allows him to live near his daughter. Then his profit-minded boss orders him to create a reality TV show, putting it all in jeopardy. Desperate to find his romantic lead, a chance run-in with an exasperated Fizzy offers Connor the perfect solution. What if he could show the queen of romance herself falling head-over-heels? But when production on The True Love Experiment begins, Connor wonders if that perfect match will ever be in the cue cards for him too.

I’m always excited when a new book by Christina Lauren is released and this one in particular sounds amazing. I think this one will be perfect to listen to in the run up to a summer holiday to get in the mood for some sunshine! I’m excited to give this one a read.

Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano

Finlay Donovan, single mum and floundering crime writer, is having a hard time. Her ex-husband went behind her back to fire the nanny, and this morning she sent her four-year-old to school with hair duct-taped to her head after an unfortunate incident with scissors.

Making it to lunch with her literary agent is a minor victory but, as she’s discussing the plot of her latest crime novel, the conversation is misinterpreted by a woman sitting nearby as that of a hit-woman offering her services to dispose of a ‘problem’ husband.

And when the woman slips Finlay a name and a promise of a large sum of cash, Finlay finds herself plotting something much bigger than her novel.

And, after all, they do always say: write what you know….

This one has been on my wishlist for the longest time and I think it is going to have to be the next one I download. I’ve heard so many incredible things about it over the past couple of years and I feel like it is going to be a book I will love. So, I want to pick this one up sooner rather than later.

There you have it, some of the audiobooks on my wishlist at the minute! What audiobooks are on your wishlist? Let me know in the comments below.
