Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you have been having a good Halloween day and enjoying all the spookiness. I love Halloween and everything that comes with it. I decorated my house way too early this year but had so much fun doing that.
Last year, I did the Halloween Book Tag and I wanted to give it another go this year. This tag is fromΒ Blogger BooksΒ and was a lot of fun to do. Here is the Halloween Book Tag!

Favourite scary must-read for Halloween?
This year the answer would have to be When Ghosts Call Us Home by Katya de Becerra. This one is so spooky and genuinely had me terrified. It is a story that centres around a haunted house and it was extremely creepy. Having since heard the author talk more about the book and her process behind writing it, I think it is the perfect scary must-read for Halloween.

Scariest book cover?
I’m going to say Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke by Eric LaRocca. This cover just creeps me out and has me on edge. I can’t explain why but I just don’t like it and it spooks me out. I do want to try and give this book a read though.

If you could go trick-or-treating with any author, who would you go with?
Having seen a number of authors costumes over the past few years, I would have to say Alice Oseman or Lauren James. I think they would be fun to trick-or-treat with and would come with excellent costumes.
If you could dress up as any bookish character for Halloween, who would you be?
I don’t think I could pull it off but I would love to go as Daisy Jones from Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. She is one of my favourite characters and I feel like I’d have fun putting a costume together.
If you could find anything (from any book) in your trick-or-treat stash, what would you hope it would be?
My answer for this always seems to be the same but I would love some Lembas bread from Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. It has always been something I’ve always wanted to try and I would be so excited to see it in my trick-or-treat stash.
In what fictional world would you like to go trick-or-treating?
I think it would be fun to trick-or-treat in the world of Heartstopper. I think trick-or-treating with all the characters from this series would be a really fun night and full of laughs.
What book villain would you not like to meet in a dark alley on Halloween?
I’m going to say Vermillion from When Ghosts Call Us Home by Katya de Becerra. Ever since finishing that book I’ve thought about that villain daily and I’m certain they would be absolutely terrifying to meet in a dark alley.
What would you rather dress up as: a vampire, zombie, werewolf or Shadowhunter?
100% zombie! I would love to try and do some makeup to make myself look like a zombie. I’m sure it would be a lot of fun.
What is your favourite Halloween candy?
I love most variety of haribo, so I would say if I got any packets of them I would be very very happy!

There you have it, the Halloween Book Tag! What are your plans for Halloween and have you read any spooky books this October? Let me know in the comments below!
