What’s On My Netgalley TBR?

I’m quite proud of how well I’m doing with keeping my book requesting on Netgalley to a minimum and keeping on top of reading them. My feedback ratio is still over 90% but I have a number of books on there that I need to read soon.

I started writing these posts to show what was on my Netgalley TBR and to hold myself accountable when it comes to reading them. So, here are some of the books on my Netgalley TBR / shelf at the moment!

Elias Westbrook, a newly drafted hockey player for the Toronto Thunder, is facing the challenges of fame and media scrutiny. With a growing fan base and too many expectations on his shoulders, he’s struggling to make his first career goal. The tabloids are reporting on his every move, including which woman he was last seen with, but all he wants to do is escape the spotlight.

Enter from stage left Sage Beaumont, an aspiring ballerina with dreams of joining the Aurora Ballet Theatre, but her lack of popularity online leaves her at a major disadvantage for securing the lead role. When Sage finds herself with the perfect opportunity to make her dreams come true by fake dating Elias, she takes her shot.

Soon enough, the flimsy fake-dating rules they set in place fall away in the face of their sizzling connection. But before things spiral out of control, Sage and Elias will have to decide if they’re willing to take the leap together or if they’ll call it quits.

A fake-dating romance between a hockey player and a ballerina sounds as though it would be right up my street. So, the minute I saw that this was available on Netgalley I had to request it. I’m so excited to give this one a read as the weather gets colder and I’m sure it will be excellent.

Popular girl Eva Òjó is used to boys falling for her without her even trying. So when her friend dares her to dance with a random guy at Notting Hill Carnival, she meets Saint.

Comic obsessed Saint Rowe-Falade thinks Eva is cute, but he’s not interested in her in that way. He’d rather get lost in stories than look for romance.

When Eva’s birthday party gets out of control and causes damage to her dad’s beloved car, her friends set the ultimate dare: get Saint to take her on one date and they’ll help her pay to fix her dad’s car. Operation fall-in-love-with-Eva is set in motion and Eva makes it her mission to make Saint fall head over heels. But just as Saint starts to warm to Eva, and her own feelings towards him grow, Saint finds out about the dare. Can Eva convince Saint she’s truly into him, or has she lost him for good?

After reading Abiola Bello’s Christmas themed stories, I’m beyond excited that she has a summer themed book out in the world. I’m prioritising this one after I finish my current Kindle read. I’ve seen it get a lot of amazing reviews already and I’d love to read it before summer is over.

Welcome to Keeper Island, the private Caribbean paradise where the cocktails are chilled, the guests are not, and new manager Lola is just hoping nothing messes up her badly needed fresh start.

Her previous job in Hong Kong ended in tears – and quite a lot of blood – so she’s come to Keeper to lie low, as well as to provide the gold-star service the resort’s spoiled one-percenters expect. Her only connection to her previous life now is her old mentor and new boss, Mike Moxham.

But nothing is that simple, and no secret is truly safe forever. When Mike is found dead less than a day after her arrival on the island, the rules Lola is used to for working with the super-rich very quickly become rules to live by:

Be prepared for anything.

Trust no one.

Because she might just be next…

This one is being marketed as Bella Mackie meets Below Deck and as a fan of both, I’m very excited for this one. I’m so intrigued by a mystery set on a private island and I think it will be perfect to read as the weather gets colder.

Charlie Milford is a betting man. As the top executive at the investment firm his dad almost ran into the ground, he has to know when to play it close to the chest and when to go all in. So, when Nova Porter proposes one night – no strings – to get their inconvenient attraction out of their systems, he does what he does best. He puts it all on the line.

Nova Porter has no explanation for her attraction to buttoned-up, boat-shoe-owning Charlie Milford. Maybe it’s his charm? Or maybe it’s his determination to help her fledgling business any way he can. Either way, she’s distracted and she needs to be focused. She’s about to expand her homegrown tattoo business and she doesn’t have time for frivolous flirtations.

Too bad her one-night solution doesn’t work out as planned. If anything, their explosive night together leaves her wanting more. And, with Charlie in town temporarily overseeing Lovelight Farms for his sister Stella, there’s no way to avoid him in the tiny neighbourhood of Inglewild. Add in a meddling small town, some close quarters and a mischievous duckling and all bets are off.

I’m so excited to read the next in the Lovelight series! I’ve loved all the other books that I’ve read and I cannot wait to read Charlie and Nova’s story. I’m sure it will be one that I fly through and love as much as all of the others.

There you have it, some of the books that are on my Netgalley shelf/TBR at the minute! What have you got on your Netgalley shelf and what are you excited to read? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Reading
