Hello! I can’t believe we are already a month into 2020, even if this month has felt like one of the longest months ever. January has been a month of many things, reading, days out and even a trip to Wales. Here is what happened in January!
I always seem to read less in January than I do in any other month of the year. This January has been better than last January though. I have read 4 books this month and I did a little post all the other day. Here is what I read in January!
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – J.K Rowling – 4★‘s
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – J.K Rowling – 4★‘s
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – J.K Rowling – 5★‘s
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire – J.K Rowling – 4★‘s
January has been another good blogging month for me and I am still sticking with my blog planning. Being able to plan ahead makes it so much easier to write posts and keep on top of what reviews I need to write and what posts I need to think about. Here are my top 5 posts for January!
- New Years Book Tag!
- 2020 Blogging Goals!
- 2020 Reading Goals!
- December Book Haul!
- The Sky is Mine – Amy Beashel
A new year means setting a new reading goal. Just like last year I have set this goal at 30 with the hopes of increasing it as the year goes on. I am still putting aside £5 for every book I read this year just like I did last year and saving it all up. I don’t know what to do with this money just yet but I am so proud I have kept this up for a few years now!
This month started with me going on a day out with my wonderful boyfriend David to a Manchester to celebrate his birthday. We did some book shopping, played mini golf and went for a lovely meal.
As it does for a lot of people January felt extremely long and like I didn’t get much done at all. I feel like all I’ve done this month is work and that it.
Other than spending an amazing last weekend in January with my wonderful best friends Sarah, Sophie and Charlotte in Wales. We spent the weekend relaxing, doing a little shopping and sight-seeing in Cardiff and just having a wonderful friend time. I love them all so much and it is wonderful to spend time together.
At the end of the month I was back to attending Sarah and Sophie’s LGBTQ+ book club. For one reason and another I didn’t read this month’s book (sorry everyone!) but I will be reading next month’s book for certain! In fact I have it next to me right now.
That’s it January is finally over. I cannot wait to see what February holds, it is a really busy month for me and I am excited. What has your January been like and what have you read? Let me know in the comments below!
I really love the idea of putting money aside every time you finish a book. I don’t know what I would do with it either but it seems like a fun way to save money!

I totally forgot about putting money away for each book I read this year! I might start it belatedly.

I set my reading goal to 30 too. Don’t want any pressure this year 😊

Nice month! I wasn’t able to read any books this month, so I am slightly jealous of you. Maybe I need to read a favorite, that would help!
