Hello! Hope you are all well and keeping safe! So much and I mean so much has happened throughout July, more on that later but it has been busy! I’ve read a lot and done a lot, here is what happened in July!

I read a total of 7 books throughout July. I was in a mood reading kind of way this month and read whatever was calling to me on whatever day. I love doing this because it is so nice to actually see my TBR decrease rather than increase. Here is what I read in July!
- Girls on the Verge – Sharon Biggs Waller – 4★‘s
- Pet – Akwaeke Emezi – 4★‘s
- My Sister, the Serial Killer – 4★‘s
- This Time Will Be Different – Misa Sugiura – 4★‘s
- Dear Justyce – Nic Stone – 5★‘s
- Bookish and the Beast – Ashley Poston – 5★‘s
- The Rules – Tracy Darnton – 4★‘s

I absolutely love blogging and blogging each month is so much fun for me. I seem to have a schedule of posting on every other day which I enjoy and I hope others do too. I have got back into the routine of scheduling posts early again and it has given me a lot more free time. I thought I’d share the 5 posts I liked the most! Here are my top 5 posts for July!
- Podcasts I Adore!
- Hamilton the Musical – Film Review
- The Reckless Afterlife of Harriet Stoker – Lauren James
- Books I Want to Read this Summer!
- June Book Haul!

What a whirlwind this month has been! I’ve kept it very secret but back in February, me and my boyfriend David put an offer in for our first house. Then, lockdown arrived and slowed the house moving to a complete stop. At the beginning of July, David and I were convinced we would never get our lovely little house. Then, suddenly all the paperwork had been completed and we were given a moving date less than a week away!
As I write this, I am sat in our very first house and we are officially homeowners. We’ve been here over a week now and it still doesn’t feel real. We will be doing a lot of work on the house over the next 6 months but we are here in our own house which we never thought would happen.
It is wild to think I own a house now but I do and I’m so happy. It feels so lovely to be able to come home and see David after work every day and cook our food together it is just the best.
This month I went back to work in person after not being in a library since the end of March. It is weird to be back at work and I’m very anxious about it but I am taking it a day at a time and I’m proud of myself for that.
Some pretty terrible things happened this month but I bought a lot of books and plants for my garden so that certainly brought a smile to my face.

That’s it July is finally over. I cannot wait to see what August holds! What has July been like for you and what have you read? Let me know in the comments below!
Congratulations on your new home ownership! Nothing feels quite as good as closing a door you own and locking the world out. Enjoy! Love your wrap-up!

Congrats on becoming a homeowner! I remember feeling super weird like “really, you’re letting ME have this responsibility” haha and almost two years later the novelty definitely hasn’t worn off. I’m excited for you!

Thank you so much! It feels so weird I keep calling my parents house ‘home’ and it feels like I’m in a holiday home and not my own. It’s weird but it is so lovely! Thank you again!

July was… Weird for me. TBH I’m sick of being stuck inside and missing just sitting in coffee shops and people watching.
You read some amazing books last month, and congratulations on the house!
