I’m here for the first time in 2021 with one of my favourite kinds of posts, one all about new books being releases I’m excited for. I love finding out all about new books being released and getting excited to see them out in the world!
There are so many amazing new books coming out in February and I cannot wait to share them with you. Here are the February new book releases I’m excited for!

Bad Habits by Flynn Meaney

Alex is a rebel from the tip of her purple fauxhawk to the toes of her biker boots. She’s tried everything she can think of to get expelled from her strict Catholic boarding school. Nothing has worked so far – but now, Alex has a new plan.
Tired of the sexism she sees in every corner of St Mary’s, Alex decides to stage the school’s first ever production of The Vagina Monologues. Which is going to be a challenge, as no one else at St Mary’s can even bear to say the word ‘vagina’ out loud . . .
I actually finished reading this a couple of days ago and throughly enjoyed it. It is like an American version of Derry Girls set in a boarding school! It tackles a number of important issues and topics throughout all whilst remaining a fun and humorous book. I’ll have a full review of this very soon!

The Project by Courtney Summers

Lo Denham is used to being on her own. After her parents died, Lo’s sister, Bea, joined The Unity Project, leaving Lo in the care of their great aunt. Thanks to its extensive charitable work and community outreach, The Unity Project has won the hearts and minds of most in the Upstate New York region, but Lo knows there’s more to the group than meets the eye. She’s spent the last six years of her life trying—and failing—to prove it.
I’ve throughly enjoyed the other books that I have read by Courtney Summers, so, the minute I saw that she was releasing another book I was excited. Then I read the synopsis and I was even more excited. I have already seen a number of glowing reviews for this book so I am really looking forward to read it.

Amelia Unabridged by Ashley Schumacher

Eighteen-year-old Amelia Griffin is obsessed with the famous Orman Chronicles, written by the young and reclusive prodigy N. E. Endsley. They’re the books that brought her and her best friend Jenna together after Amelia’s father left and her family imploded. So when Amelia and Jenna get the opportunity to attend a book festival with Endsley in attendance, Amelia is ecstatic. It’s the perfect way to start off their last summer before college.
In a heartbeat, everything goes horribly wrong. When Jenna gets a chance to meet the author and Amelia doesn’t, the two have a blowout fight like they’ve never experienced. And before Amelia has a chance to mend things, Jenna is killed in a freak car accident. Grief-stricken, and without her best friend to guide her, Amelia questions everything she had planned for the future.
I had not actually heard of this book until I was searching for this post. The minute I read the synopsis I was intrigued. Then, I glanced at a couple of the review and I went and pre-ordered myself a copy. I cannot wait to read this one and share my thoughts. Also, how beautiful is the cover!

Like Home by Louisa Onomé

Chinelo, or Nelo as her best friend Kate calls her, is all about her neighborhood Ginger East. She loves its chill vibe, ride-or-die sense of community, and her memories of growing up there. Ginger East isn’t what it used to be, though. After a deadly incident at the local arcade, all her closest friends moved away, except for Kate. But as long as they have each other, Nelo’s good.
Only, Kate’s parents’ corner store is vandalized, leaving Nelo shaken to her core. The police and the media are quick to point fingers, and soon more of the outside world descends on Ginger East with promises to “fix” it. Suddenly, Nelo finds herself in the middle of a drama unfolding on a national scale.
Worse yet, Kate is acting strange. She’s pushing Nelo away at the exact moment they need each other most. Nelo’s entire world is morphing into something she hates, and she must figure out how to get things back on track or risk losing everything—and everyone—she loves.
I’ve had my eyes on this one for quite a while now and I’m excited for it to be finally released. This is the authors debut novel and I’m really looking froward to seeing what this author has to offer!
