Books I Have on Pre-Order!

I have always had books on pre-order but I think this past year has made me pre-order books even more which is bad for my bank but wonderful for my TBR. I have quite a few things on pre-order at the minutes and wanted to share them with you. Here is what I have on pre-order at the minute!

A Pho Love Story by Loan Le

If Bao Nguyen had to describe himself, he’d say he was a rock. Steady and strong, but not particularly interesting. His grades are average, his social status unremarkable. He works at his parents’ pho restaurant, and even there, he is his parents’ fifth favorite employee. Not ideal.

If Linh Mai had to describe herself, she’d say she was a firecracker. Stable when unlit, but full of potential for joy and fire. She loves art and dreams pursuing a career in it. The only problem? Her parents rely on her in ways they’re not willing to admit, including working practically full-time at her family’s pho restaurant.

For years, the Mais and the Nguyens have been at odds, having owned competing, neighboring pho restaurants. Bao and Linh, who’ve avoided each other for most of their lives, both suspect that the feud stems from feelings much deeper than friendly competition.

I’ve had this book on pre-order for the longest time. I pre-ordered it back in November and due to the world situation the release date kept getting pushed back but it is getting so much nearer. I am throughly looking forward to finally reading this book and sharing my thoughts on it with you.

Afterlove by Tanya Byrne

Ash Persaud is about to become a reaper in the afterlife, but she is determined to see her first love Poppy Morgan again, the only thing that separates them is death.

Car headlights.

The last thing Ash hears is the snap of breaking glass as the windscreen hits her and breaks into a million pieces like stars.

But she made it, she’s still here. Or is she?

This is another book that I’ve had on pre-order for a long time and I cannot wait to finally give it a read. It has been getting non-stop amazing reviews from bloggers, authors and so many other people and I am looking forward to seeing what I think about it. Tanya is an excellent author and I’m looking forward to reading this!

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston

For cynical twenty-three-year-old August, moving to New York City is supposed to prove her right: that things like magic and cinematic love stories don’t exist, and the only smart way to go through life is alone. She can’t imagine how waiting tables at a 24-hour pancake diner and moving in with too many weird roommates could possibly change that. And there’s certainly no chance of her subway commute being anything more than a daily trudge through boredom and electrical failures.

But then, there’s this gorgeous girl on the train.

I know this one has technically been out for a little while now but my pre-order has yet to be shipped and my patience is running out! I’ve been looking forward to reading this book for so long and waiting for my pre-order to finally arrive makes me even more excited to read this book. It has been getting incredible reviews and I’m excited to see what I think!

Meet Cute by Emery Lee

Noah Ramirez thinks he’s an expert on romance. He has to be for his popular blog, the Meet Cute Diary, a collection of trans happily ever afters. There’s just one problem—all the stories are fake. What started as the fantasies of a trans boy afraid to step out of the closet has grown into a beacon of hope for trans readers across the globe.

When a troll exposes the blog as fiction, Noah’s world unravels. The only way to save the Diary is to convince everyone that the stories are true, but he doesn’t have any proof. Then Drew walks into Noah’s life, and the pieces fall into place: Drew is willing to fake-date Noah to save the Diary. But when Noah’s feelings grow beyond their staged romance, he realizes that dating in real life isn’t quite the same as finding love on the page.

Just like the book above this one came out a few days ago but my pre-order has yet to be shipped. I will be reading this book the minute that it arrives at my house because I’ve been seeing some amazing reviews about it. This is the sort of book I am desperate to read at the minute so I cannot wait until it arrives.

Love & Other Natural Disasters by Misa Sugiura

When Nozomi Nagai pictured the ideal summer romance, a fake one wasn’t what she had in mind.

That was before she met the perfect girl. Willow is gorgeous, glamorous, and…heartbroken? And when she enlists Nozomi to pose as her new girlfriend to make her ex jealous, Nozomi is a willing volunteer.

Because Nozomi has a master plan of her own: one to show Willow she’s better than a stand-in, and turn their fauxmance into something real. But as the lies pile up, it’s not long before Nozomi’s schemes take a turn toward disaster…and maybe a chance at love she didn’t plan for.

Misa Sugiura is an auto-buy author of mine and I am so excited for her to have another book out very soon. It has fake dating which is a favourite trope of mine so I am even more excited to give this one a read. I’ll definitely be reviewing this one when I read it.

Blackout by Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, Ashley Woodfolk and Nicola Yoon

When a heatwave plunges New York City into darkness, sparks fly for thirteen teenagers caught up in the blackout. From the exes who have to bury their rivalry and walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn in time to kick off a block party, to the two boys trapped on the subway who come face-to-face with their feelings and the pair of best friends stuck in the library and surrounded by love stories and one very big secret, they are all about to see that when the lights go out, people reveal hidden truths, love blossoms, friendship transforms, and all possibilities take flight.

I think this may be one of the most talked about books of the year and I bet it is for good reason. It has a star-studded author list and such an interesting storyline concept. I cannot wait for my copy to arrive because I’m sure I will read it in just a couple of sittings!
