Another month is almost here, which means only one thing, more new releases to add to my TBR! I am always adding new books to my TBR because I love finding new stories that are being released into the world. New stories mean new adventures and what more can you want!
There are so many new books coming out in August and I cannot wait to share them with you. Here are the new book releases I’m excited for in August!
Up All Night by Laura Silverman, Brandy Colbert, Kathleen Glasgow, Maurene Goo, Tiffany D. Jackson, Amanda Joy, Nina LaCour, Karen M. McManus, Anna Meriano, Marieke Nijkamp, Kayla Whaley, Julian Winters, and Francesca Zappia
When everyone else goes to bed, the ones who stay up feel like they’re the only people in the world. As the hours tick by deeper into the night, the familiar drops away and the unfamiliar beckons. Adults are asleep, and a hush falls over the hum of daily life. Anything is possible.
It’s a time for romance and adventure. For prom night and ghost hunts. It’s a time for breaking up, for falling in love—for finding yourself.
I am actually reading this one at the minute and enjoying it a lot. The premise of this book is what originally attracted me to the story with its short stories set between sunset and sunrise. So, I have been reading one story each night before bed and it is a lot of fun. I have no idea why I received my pre-order so early but I am not complaining and will be highly recommending you get yourself a copy when it is released.

The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould
Something is wrong in Snakebite, Oregon. Teenagers are disappearing, some turning up dead, the weather isn’t normal, and all fingers seem to point to TV’s most popular ghost hunters who have just returned to town. Logan Ortiz-Woodley, daughter of TV’s ParaSpectors, has never been to Snakebite before, but the moment she and her dads arrive, she starts to get the feeling that there’s more secrets buried here than they originally let on.
Ashley Barton’s boyfriend was the first teen to go missing, and she’s felt his presence ever since. But now that the Ortiz-Woodleys are in town, his ghost is following her and the only person Ashley can trust is the mysterious Logan. When Ashley and Logan team up to figure out who—or what—is haunting Snakebite, their investigation reveals truths about the town, their families, and themselves that neither of them are ready for. As the danger intensifies, they realize that their growing feelings for each other could be a light in the darkness.
This book has been on my anticipated list for what feels like year so, I am extremely excited that it is nearly due for release into the world. This book and its premise has me so intrigued and I cannot wait to give it a read. I will definitely be sharing my thoughts on this one when I have finished reading it. I think I may need to be in the right mindset to read this one though!

Wicked Little Deeds by Kat Ellis
From its creepy town mascot to the story of its cursed waterfall, Burden Falls is a small town dripping with superstition. Ava Thorn knows this well – since the horrific accident she witnessed a year ago, she’s been plagued by nightmares.
But when someone close to her is brutally murdered and Ava is the primary suspect, she starts to wonder if the legends surrounding the town are more fact than fiction.
Whatever secrets Burden Falls is hiding, there’s a killer on the loose, and they have a vendetta against the Thorns…
I read Kat Ellis’ previous novel Harrow Lake last year and adored it. So, when the chance to be a part of the blog tour for her new book came to my attention I hopped on the chance. I am looking forward to reading this book as I feel it will be one of those that I read in a single sitting and will not be able to put down. I will be sharing my thoughts on this one as part of the blog tour in August, so keep your eyes out for that!

Like a Love Song by Gabriela Martins
Natalie is living her dream: topping the charts and setting records as a Brazilian pop star…until she’s dumped spectacularly on live television. Not only is it humiliating—it could end her career.
Her PR team’s desperate plan? A gorgeous yet oh-so-fake boyfriend. Nati reluctantly agrees, but William is not what she expected. She was hoping for a fierce bad boy—not a soft-hearted British indie film star. While she fights her way back to the top with a sweet and surprisingly swoon-worthy boy on her arm, she starts to fall for William—and realizes that maybe she’s the biggest fake of them all. Can she reclaim her voice and her heart?
I read this book just last month and adored it. I cannot wait for it to be out in the world and to discuss it with more people. If you are a fan of celebrity romances, fanfiction and adorable romance, then this is the book for you. It is such an interesting look into PR relationships in the celebrity world and what they can lead to. I’ve written a full review of this book which you can find here.
