It is finally the last day of January! This month has felt like it has been three months in one and I am so ready for it to be over. I’ve done a lot this month, been to concerts, the cinema, on a lot of walks and a whole bunch more. Here is what happened in January!

I’ve read a total of 8 books throughout January and I’ve enjoyed them all. I’ve even had a couple of 5-star reads in there too. I wrote a post a couple of days ago which is full of mini reviews of the books I read in January. So, be sure to check that out. Here is the shortened version of what I read in January!

January has been another month full of blogging. I feel like I wrote and posted a lot of book reviews this month which has helped me catch up with books to review. I’ve been sticking to my blog schedule of posting every couple of days for a while now and still love doing that too. So, I wanted to share the top 5 posts I’ve enjoyed writing the most throughout January!

January started out with a few days off work! We celebrated the New Year and David’s birthday too. It was lovely to have a few chill days after the rush of Christmas and to reset for the new year.

We got a lot more wedding planning done this month too. I got the invitations sorted and sent them out to guests. We decided on our menus choices for the day and I cannot wait to eat them! After going to the tasting meal this month it has made me even more excited. Then, I spent a day with my mum and sister looking at bridesmaid dresses. Planning a wedding is stressful but we are getting there!

I finally took myself on another solo cinema trip this month. I used to do this a lot but didn’t have the time for a while. So, when I finally got the opportunity to go, I took myself to watch A Man Called Otto and it was stunning. I’ve never cried as much in a cinema though, I was a mess and the older lady sat next to me throughout the film gave me a hug to calm me down at the end which was lovely and much needed.

I’ve been to a couple of concerts this month. I went to watch Wallows in Manchester and they were incredible. I’m so glad I bought the tickets ages ago because they are spectacular live. Also, I went to watch The 1975 in Manchester which was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. I last saw The 1975 in February 2020 so my excitement levels were through the roof. What a show it was! The set design, the songs, Charlie XCX as a special guest and just the band themselves. It was incredible and I’m hoping they tour again soon because I miss them already!

One thing I have started doing more of in January is taking myself on a walk. I’ve been starting my days off with a walk. It could be a 1 mile walk or even a 5 mile walk. I just pop my shoes on and go and see where I end up. It has helped me to get out of the house a bit more, clear my head and is something I will definitely be doing more often this year.

January has been such a busy month but it has been quite lovely! I am looking forward to seeing what February brings!
