Reading Firsts 2023

I’ve seen this tag on a few people’s blogs recently discussing your reading firsts for the year. So, of course I wanted to give this a go to look at my firsts for the year but also because I love a good book tag. Here is the reading firsts tag for 2023!

It was Promise Boys by Nick Brooks and it was an excellent start to the reading year. It is full of twists and turns and I enjoyed it a lot.

That was Six Times We Almost Kissed (And One Time We Did) by Tess Sharpe. It was only the third book I read this year and one that I enjoyed a lot more than I was expecting to. If you like slow-burn romance, I’d recommend this one!

Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert. Although it was the first YA book I’ve read by her, I have read her romance books in the past and loved them. I didn’t enjoy her YA as much but it was still a fun read.

This Bird Has Flown by Susanna Hoffs which I went in hoping I would enjoy but it was one of the worst books I have ever read. It didn’t interest me and was not written well.

I think that was Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshigazu Kawaguchi. Since reading this at the start of the year, I’ve read the majority of the rest of the series and I love it. It is both heart-warming and heart-breaking and I cannot recommend the series enough.

Loathe to Love You by Ali Hazelwood which is actually a collection of three novellas which were all a lot of fun to read.

It was The Do-Over by Lynn Painter which was a wonderful YA romance. I love Lynn Painter’s books especially her YA books and I cannot wait for the next one.

There you have it, the reading firsts tag for 2023! What have been your reading firsts in 2023? Let me know in the comments below!
