One week ago today I was having the most incredible birthday in Scotland with David. It feels like it has been such a long time since we went on holiday and also since I shared a holiday recap. Last week was the first holiday I've been on in 2 years and it is one that I will never forget. I wanted to do a little holiday recap post like I used to do as I wanted to share a few things that we did because it was an experience I'll never forget!

The Trial – Laura Bates
No matter how you try to hide it, the truth will always come out . . . After a plane crash sees a group of seven teens washed up on a desert island, their first thought is survival. But a terrible secret from a party the night before has followed them ashore. Facing deadly threats and the fear of being stranded forever, they quickly discover that being the most popular kid in High School doesn’t help when you’re fighting to stay alive. As the island deals each of them a dangerous blow, it’s clear that someone is looking for justice. Now survival depends on facing the truth about that party: who was hurt that night, and who let it happen?

The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes – Quote
Last year, I flew through reading The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes and immediately wanted the sequel. Now that the sequel is here, I thought I would look back on a favourite quote of mine from the first book. I wanted to do what I normally do with a book that I enjoy, which is pick a quote from it and get designing. So, that is exactly what I did.
5 Books I Want to Buy Soon!
My wishlist of books does not seem to have an end but some of the books on there are higher priority books than others for me. I thought I would share 5 books that I want to buy soon. A Pho Love Story – Loan Le
All's fair in love, war and noodles . . . If Bao Nguyen had to describe himself, he’d say he was a rock. Steady and strong, but not particularly interesting. His grades are average, his social status unremarkable. He works at his parents’ pho restaurant, and even there, he is his parents’ fifth favorite employee. If Linh Mai had to describe herself, she’d say she was a firecracker. Stable when unlit, but full of potential for joy and spark and fire. She loves art, and she dreams of making a career of it one day. The only problem? Her parents rely on her in ways they’re not willing to admit, including expecting her to work practically full-time at their family’s pho restaurant. For decades, the Mais and the Nguyens have been at odds, having owned competing, neighboring pho restaurants. Bao and Linh have resolved never to befriend each other, for fear of pushing too far and bringing on undue heartbreak. But when a chance encounter brings Linh and Bao closer, sparks fly . . .
