New Years Book Tag!

Happy New Year everyone! It is the first day of 2021 and I’m as excited for a new year as you can be with the year we have just had. I’m looking forward to seeing what 2021 hold for me and my blog. I’m hopeful for the year to come. I thought to start the year out it would be perfect to do a little New Years Book Tag which I found on Cleopatra Loves Books. Here is the New Years Book Tag!

How many books are you planning on reading in 2021?

I am going to set my Goodreads challenge goals at 50 books for this year. I managed to read 130 books in 2020, so I feel that 50 book for 2021 doesn’t push me too much and lets me enjoy my reading. I can always up my goal if I do reach it early on in the year too.

Name five books you didn’t get to read in 2020 but want to make a priority in 2021?

There are so many books that I bought in 2020 that I really should have read straight away but didn’t. So, if it is safe to say there are many more than 5 that I want to read in 2021. If I had to narrow it down to 5 that I defintely want to read in 2021, they would have to be:

  • Don’t Date Rosa Santos by Nina Moreno
  • Cracked Up to Be by Courtney Summers
  • Sweet Sorrow by David Nicholls
  • Open Road Summer by Emery Lord
  • One of Us is Next by Karen M. McManus

Name a genre you want to read more of in 2021?

Sci-fi! I want to read more sci-fi books in 2021. I love a good sci-fi book but I don’t read anywhere near enough, so, I’d like to change that in 2021. I have so many of them on my TBR so I am excited to give them a go.

Three non-book related goals for 2021

I’d like to finish my apprenticeship this year and get the mark I am hoping for. I’d also like to finish a lot of our house re-decoration off even if it takes all year. Finally, I’d like to finally be on the right path toward my dream job.

What’s a book you’ve had forever that you still need to read?

American Panda by Gloria Chao has been on my TBR and book shelves for way too long now. I need to finally read it.

One word that you hope 2020 will be?

Better!

There you have it! The New Years Book Tag! Hope you had a wonderful New Year and have a wonderful 2021!

  1. I totally thought I’d already commented on this as I used this tag after seeing it here! I totally get you on the house jobs, we’re still finishing some stuff here and it’s been over two years!
