I have no idea how we are halfway through 2021. This year has felt so long already but also seems to be flying by. In June, I went to a zoo, an aquarium and on lot of walks. I did not seem to read so much but I’ve had a good month. Here is what happened in June!

I have read a total of 6 books throughout June which is a lot less that I wanted to read this month. Sometimes we have bad reading months though and that is okay! I wrote a post a couple of days ago that goes into detail, with mini reviews, about what I read in June, so be sure to check that out. Here is the shortened version of what I read in June!
- Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar – ★★★★
- Everyone Dies Famous in a Small Town by Bonnie-Sue Hitchcock – ★★★★
- Off the Record by Camryn Garrett – ★★★★
- Guard Your Heart by Sue Divin – ★★★★
- An Emotion of Great Delight by Tahereh Mafi – ★★★★
- XOXO by Axie Oh – ★★★★

I seem to be in a little bit of a slump when it comes to writing blog posts. I’ve kept up with my blog plan schedule but I am struggling to think of many good ideas or find the time to even sit and write a post. Despite all that, I thought I would share the 5 posts that I enjoyed writing the most in June. Here are my top 5 posts for June!
- Most Anticipated Releases for the Rest of 2021! – Part Two
- What’s on my Netgalley TBR?
- Currently I’m…
- Instructions for Dancing – Nicola Yoon
- New Book Releases I’m Excited for! – July

June has been a busy month! I started the month out by having a week off work. I spent the week doing a lot of things and did not really stop. First I went to the zoo and saw some penguins. Then, I met one of the new babies in my family which was wonderful. Then, me and my sister went on the first shopping day in a long while. I went on a couple of walks with my family. And, I ended the week visiting an aquarium that I’ve wanted to visit for a long time!
It was my second month as a library manager and I’m loving the job so much. I’ve still got a lot to learn but I think I am getting there (hopefully!).
I feel like I did a lot more this month but it all seems to be walks, jobs around the house or being generally busy. It has definitely been one of those months in which I’ve been non-stop but I couldn’t fully explain why!
Finally, I ended the month by spending the day with my lovely best friend Sarah. We went to see In the Heights at the cinema which as wonderful. I’ve listened to the soundtrack non-stop ever since. It was so nice to finally have a day out with a friend and I cannot wait for more soon.
Bring on July!

That is it, June is over. I cannot wait to see what July holds. What has June been like for you and what have you read? Let me know in the comments below!
